Winning
ukraine has more and better artillery in the area.
what they dont tell you is that any vehicle or troops getting into the town are taken out quickly by FPV or artillery.
the 88 troops are wrecking entire regiments on the russian side.
something is REALLY wrong if this is the real number... no way 88 troops should be holding back..

Putin has given the order and it will be carried out, no matter what the cost is.
Entrepreneurs throw things from the pavilions so that the fire does not spread, the entire city center is behind a curtain of smoke.
The ruzzians keep spending on killing Ukrainians instead of protecting their citizens.

Why the few UA troops can hold them off is the road going west from Korsunka to the town is straight & absolutely flat; so the UA can see them coming for miles. Also, the ground on the left bank is far higher, meaning the UA can target the Moscovonians with tank and artillery fire as they travel down the road toward the UA positions. Then there are Magyar’s drone operators ...
The woods in front of the UA position is mined by both sides so that way to attack UA troops is blocked. The UA position is in the partial rectangle area to the west of thre town.
The picture shows the current range of the locator of 300-400 km
🟢 As you can see, now the A-50 aircraft does not fly into the waters of the Sea of Azov at all, its patrol route runs along the land part of Russia, in the Krasnodar-Rostov zone;
🟢 Patrolling in this zone significantly reduces the ability of the ship to target and direct ballistic missiles at land and air targets in the south of the country;
🟢 It also affects the fact that in the last few days there has not been a single launch of ballistic missiles from Crimea, at targets in the Kryvyi Rih and Kropyvnytskyi regions, because the locator simply does not reach there.

Excellent information...thanks for posting...recommended reading for all.
A sign of the times.
“Dems float a trade: Ukraine-border deal for protecting Johnson”
“The longshot notion underscores the increasingly desperate thinking around getting a Senate compromise through the House.”
“With Senate negotiators expected to unveil their elusive bipartisan border deal any day now — and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer floating a vote on the White House’s $106 billion supplemental as soon as next week — the watercooler chatter on Capitol Hill has turned to one elephant-sized question: How the hell do you get this thing past the Republican House?
Speaker Mike Johnson is under tremendous pressure from former President Donald Trump and other conservatives not to give President Joe Biden a win on border security — an issue that has plagued him in the polls — ahead of the 2024 election. And members including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) are openly threatening to oust the Louisiana Republican if he allows a new tranche of Ukraine aid through the House.
But given the stakes in Ukraine and the political fallout from the migrant crisis, some Democrats are considering a once almost unthinkable idea to land the plane: trading a border deal for protecting Johnson’s gavel.”

“China’s $6.3 Trillion Stock Selloff Is Getting Uglier by the Day”
“Chinese stocks just capped another dismal week, with a gauge of mainland firms listed in Hong Kong languishing at the bottom of global equity index rankings for the year so far.
Grim milestones have kept piling up in recent days: Tokyo has overtaken Shanghai as Asia’s biggest equity market, while India’s valuation premium over China has hit a record. Locally, a meltdown in Chinese shares is wreaking havoc on the nation’s asset management industry, pushing mutual fund closures to a five-year high.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index has already lost 11% in 2024. Coming after a record four-year losing streak, the slump is reinforcing a structural shift that’s seeing everyone from active money managers to passive funds turn their back on the world’s second-largest stock market.
The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index slipped as much as 2.2% at the start of US trading Friday, extending losses to a fifth consecutive day.
In all, some $6.3 trillion has been wiped out from the market value of Chinese and Hong Kong stocks since a peak reached in 2021, underscoring the challenge that Beijing faces as it seeks to arrest a decline in investor confidence. Authorities have ruled out the use of massive stimulus to revive the flagging economy, leaving traders wondering when things will improve.”
👉 Russian telegram indicates that the fire was from a 🇺🇦 drone attack.

I have not seen this posted anywhere else. I sure hope it's true.
Here's the location on Google Maps .
Easily reachable by drone.

This has been reported earlier.
The size of the secondary explosions would indicate a lot of drones and drone munitions were being stored there.
Well done to the Ukr drone operator that located their position.
It does not help that China is getting rid of low end assembly manufacturing for a headquarters economy - like Tokyo New York etc.
Once bustling cities like Shenzhen are filled with empty factories and factory dormitories, while many former workers look for jobs to no avail and others sleep on the street.
Shenzhen went from a sleepy backwater town of only 500,000 to 18 million overnight, as low end assembly manufacturing bloomed, now it may be slipping back to a sleepy backwater town ...
That would be Magyar’s Birds in operation.
This has been reported by many sources on X with videos of the fires.
The strike of the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal has not been reported and there have been no videos.
Russian sources report that overnight a drone fell and exploded on the territory of the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal oil and gas company. No damage was allegedly inflicted.

“Biden Open to Asylum Changes to Clinch Ukraine, Border Deal”
“President Joe Biden said he is open to “massive changes” in US border policy, including to asylum laws, in order to secure a deal that would unlock Ukraine aid.
Biden’s comments mark the most detailed offer he has made publicly regarding negotiations to break a months-long standoff over the border and foreign aid. Congressional Republicans have demanded a crackdown on migration in exchange for supporting a $110 billion package that includes funds for Ukraine and Israel.
“I’m ready to act,” Biden said Friday at the White House. “The question is for the speaker and House Republicans: are they ready to act as well?””
Institute for the Study of War is a pro-Ukraine think tank that has been scrutinizing all the play-by-play moves in this war with Russia. In their report, there is no talk of stalemate – that’s a cope for pro-Kiev shills. The news assessment is about the Russians’ offensive actions, while Kiev has settled into a ‘strategic defense’ stance.
For the Ukrainians, it’s somewhat advantageous to be on defense, in terms of losses – but they will never ‘liberate’ Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhie and Kherson oblasts (regions) by just holding their ground.
The report will describe Russian advances as ‘marginal’ – which they are – but after thousands of hours reading military analysts of every stripe, it becomes clear to me that Moscow’s ‘war of attrition’ arrives at victory not necessarily by rapid territorial conquests, but mainly by degrading the enemy’s military capabilities in troops, ammo, and equipment.

Ukraine Denied Weapons From NATO Ally as Ammo Runs Out
Ukraine received crushing news about military aid from a NATO ally on the same day that one of Kyiv's top officials warned that troops were running out of ammunition.CONTINUES AT LINK"Ammunition shortage and ammunition starvation is an extremely urgent problem facing our Armed Forces," Umierov said. "We need to find a way to solve this problem together." Ukrainian Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi told Reuters last month that the military was "replanning" its strategy due to artillery shell shortages seen "across the entire front line." On Thursday, lawmakers in the German Bundestag voted down a motion to provide Ukraine with Taurus missiles to aid in its ongoing war with invading Russian forces, dashing Ukrainian hopes of receiving more long-range weapons.
The motion was defeated over concerns that Ukraine would use the missiles to strike targets inside Russia, potentially provoking Moscow to expand the war to include Germany and the NATO alliance, according to German state media outlet DW. Newsweek reached out for comment to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs via email on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umierov warned on Thursday that Kyiv was in dire need of artillery ammunition, saying that "Russia vastly outnumbers [Ukraine] in daily artillery attacks" and fires "five to 10 times more artillery shells."
"Ammunition shortage and ammunition starvation is an extremely urgent problem facing our Armed Forces," Umierov said. "We need to find a way to solve this problem together."
Ukrainian Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi told Reuters last month that the military was "replanning" its strategy due to artillery shell shortages seen "across the entire front line."
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who strongly opposed sending Taurus missiles to Ukraine, said earlier this week that Germany would be committing €7 billion, or approximately $7.6 billion, in military aid to Ukraine this year. The German government announced on Wednesday that Ukraine had received a shipment of aid that included items like ammunition for Leopard battle tanks and reconnaissance drones, but no missiles or artillery ammunition.
Ukraine has received some longer-range weapons. France and the U.K. continue to provide SCALP and Storm Shadow cruise missiles, which have a range of up to 300 miles.
Last year, the U.S. sent Kyiv ATACMS missiles, which are normally capable of traveling up to 180 miles. However, the missiles sent were modified to only travel up to 100 miles, according to the Associated Press.
That is a fair possibility, not exactly a stellar performance by “2nd greatest military”, but if marginal territorial gains at massive expense can be spun as successful SMO, I am sure they will.
Like the Russian story of damaged/destroyed T-90 wins battle against Bradley’s while showing a picture of a leopard or
tank, is success or pointing out 10500 cancelled flights in US, but claiming all is well in Russia
I would say that no matter what happens, putins initial stated goals back in February 2022 will not be met, but no problem they have just moved the goalposts
Actually more interested in internal issues in Russia than the front, curious to see how those develop, lots of Russians need to stay away from windows. Nothing tells citizens we care more than criminal charges while they freeze and repairs are not made. Massive Soviet inventories are not going to help there.
