Officer Byron Evans and seven black Capitol Police Officers sued Brandon Straka and several Trump supporters under the KKK Act for “racist” attacks on him and seven other police officers on January 6, 2021.
Officer Evans sued Brandon Straka and Roger Stone who was not even at the US Capitol that day along with leaders of the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys and others.
Brandon Straka released video on Wednesday of Officer Byron Evans admitting he was watching the January 6 protests on a TV in a room in a secure location.

Well, if you look at the definition of an “insurrection” it is pretty much a riot against a government.
The bigger issue here is that people conflate the definition of an insurrection and charges from the Insurrection Act. They are two different things.
I am NOT suggesting, saying, accusing, or promoting any characterization about what happened that day. I am merely explaining definitions.
But, brace yourself. The next three or four days is going to drive you crazy with all of the comments that are going to get tossed around in the political media.
I am no Trump supporter, but it has zero do with any of this stuff. I am merely tired of old people running stuff.
I went there peacefully as a voice of dissent, that their were issues in various States that needed to be judicated and investigated. We asked to push the HOLD button until the election would be actually verified some of the issues brought before various Court Houses of foulplay. IT WAS NOT AN INSURRECTION. PLEASE, LIZ CHENEY.
The Left, Democrat, Biden, and Obama election fraud and steal of the Tuesday, November 3, 2020 vote and election was the REAL insurrection!!!!

“Insurrection” requires guns and organization. Some very few of these guys may have had guns but they were not organized.

Nobody cares. The narrative is set. Trump and his supporters are evil white supremacists and deserve killin’. That is all.
One thing missed by everyone is how small scale this erection was.
Real erections have to take over everything in a flash. The army, the intelligence agencies, the money, the power grid, the oil fields, the legislature, the capitol, the police, the airports, etc.
You’re not even serious just rushing in a couple hundred disoriented turkey hunters in camo, with no weapons or layers of structure. No command structure, no plan, no finances, no support from outside. They wandered in and took pics with their phones.
If Pres Trump organized this erection, a guy who is in charge of billions of dollars of assets and massive planned events, it was perhaps the most modest effort of his career.

The events on J6 do not amount to an insurrection by any reasonable definition. The left wants us to believe that a few thousand people from the most well-armed part of the USA population (conservatives, etc) decided to mount an attack on a WDC building. It is curious however that none of them thought to bring firearms to the event?

I’d be interested in knowing who was the first to use the term “insurrection” for J6, and when it was used. It seems to me it was almost used while it was happening. And by several people. Almost like it was planned. If someone could go back through the archives, it would provide proof that this was planned.
The severity of government against the Jan 6 events has to do with the fear government has for the 2nd Amendment. That’s why fuhrer Joe threatened the populace with the use of F-15s if they ever rebelled.
The j6 videos finally released prove that. The question is why didn’t Republicans McCarthy and whoever else had Authority get them released before they started arresting people and letting them rot in jail for the last 3 years. If McCarthy saw these and still refused to release them he should be held accountable.
