General Teplinsky asked to withdraw troops in the Kherson region. In response, he was forced to record a video message

Since the appearance of Mikhail Teplinsky’s video message, we have been asked a lot about what’s wrong with the General now and how he feels after being wounded. We clarified this information from several sources close to Mikhail Yuryevich.

Firstly, doctors saved Teplinsky’s leg. He has already returned to the front and again commands the Dnepr group of troops. At the same time, the general is still not feeling well after being wounded. He has severe headaches, so he has to take powerful painkillers. The video shows that Mikhail Yuryevich sometimes finds it difficult to speak - this is the consequences of his injury.

Secondly, Teplinsky about a week ago turned to the command with a request to give the order to withdraw troops on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region to more advantageous positions. The reason is the deterioration of the situation on this section of the front; we wrote about this problem.

“Shoigu personally forbade the withdrawal of troops. And he demanded that Teplinsky record a video message in which he would declare victories, including future ones. Mikhail Yuryevich is now in such a state that he decided not to argue, but simply record a video message,” a source close to the general told us.

Thirdly, Teplinsky in his address “showed that he was not going to blindly follow orders from above.” And he announced losses among our paratroopers, even named several names of the dead. Which, as far as we know, seriously angered Shoigu.

At the same time, the general temporarily stopped the fight to replace the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff - “health and the difficult situation at the front are interfering.” Whether Mikhail Yuryevich will return to this fight, his comrades still refuse to say.

Wars are won on will and logistics. I submit these two photos to address the latter. US F35 production plant vs Russia Su57.

https://twitter.com/JeffFisch/status/1739143931898532145

F-35s are rolling off the assembly line.

As the F-35s replace NATO F-16s, more F-16s becomes available for Ukraine.

Here's some analysis WRT real stealth aircraft vs the Su-57.

And with an RCS slightly better than a SR71 the SU57 is not really as modern as the F35...

https://twitter.com/Hendrikkwakye/status/1739172738986627414

In the first picture above, note the Su-57 carries weapons externally. Inbound to the target, the Su-57 radar signature is barely better than the Su-34.

In the second picture above, note that the engines are exposed.

This destroys radar stealth as well as IR stealth...a deadly combination.

Clearly, ruzzia is well advised to not use Su-57s to attack Ukraine.

These would be fun to fly in peacetime.

"The First Squadron of F-16s apparently have arrived..."

Apparently, ruzzia has already destroyed 6 of them.

The 6 destroyed F-16 in Odessa airport.
😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡

For those who don’t understand - the black destroyed aircraft are Su-30s, a type of plane that Ukraine doesn’t even operate (but Russia does). F-16s don’t even have canards.

The white planes are Su-24s (operated by both sides) but they’re untouched so they don’t matter.

6 in the first days!! Why by the end of 2024, they will have destroyed thousands, except those which are along side dozens of HIMARS on the Black Market.

🇷🇺 channels claim their Su-34 over the Black Sea was shot down by a NATO-Ukrainian F-16

https://twitter.com/WarFrontline/status/1739050345366491224

Wasn't the Black Sea shoot down a Su-30 and not a Su-34?

Also, there is no such thing as a NATO-Ukrainian F-16.

If I find an F-16 on the Black Market, I will buy it.

I've always wanted my own F-16.

NATO-Ukrainian F-16.

Maybe that’s shorthand for an F-16 that been upgraded to NATO standards and transferred to Ukraine?

And ANOTHER Russian jet apparently down in Yeysk (Ruzzia).

No details yet, but this one isn't even in Ukraine.

Yes...but if it has been transferred to Ukraine, then it is a Ukrainian F-16.

My fear is that russia will claim an attack by NATO.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 On the Russian night attack of December 25 2023, 28 out of 31 "Shahed-136/131" UAVs were shot down.

Additionally, one SU-34 and one SU-30SM were shot down over Donetsk and the western Black Sea region respectively.

Well yes, but how do you differentiate between an “ordinary” F-16 and one that has been upgraded to NATO standards? An F-16 could be transferred from lots of countries, but only certain F-16s have been upgraded to those standards.

Let them claim whatever they want - they are nearly a toothless tiger.

First, here's where we agree: "Let them claim whatever they want - they are nearly a toothless tiger."

Following is what I believe...feel free to agree or disagree.

The F-16 that represents NATO standards is the F-16AM/BM Block 15 MLU.

If the F-16 comes from Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, or Norway then they would most likely have the AM/BM Mid-Life Upgrade.

The latest Operational Flight Program (OFP) is M7 which was implemented in 2015.

There have been several X threads which indicate the F-16s for Ukraine are being upgraded in Europe and the U.S. My guess is the upgrade is to OFP M7, including any LRUs necessary for the upgrade.

IMHO, the best upgrade for F-16A/B would be to F-16V (AKA F-16 Viper), currently being done of Taiwan's F-16A/B.

The F-16V incorporates F-16C block 70 avionics into F-16A/B.

Russia just likes to call everything Ukraine uses to kill Russians "NATO" so they can claim they are "fighting all of NATO". I believe all the jets Ukraine will receive are equivalent to F-16A/B Block 20 MLU, which is 1990's technology added in the 2000's. Most importantly, they can carry all the latest weapons. AMRAAM, JDAM, JSOW, HARM, SDB, Harpoon, JASSM, LRASM, Maverick, and a selection of "pods", all depending on what we provide. The only systems that are specific to NATO (and other US allies) are communications and IFF, and some software. We pick and choose what capability we provide to each customer. Egypt's F-16s are still limited to Sparrow missiles, as we don't trust them with AMRAAM. I suspect Ukraine will get the full capabilities of the Block 20 MLU, but we might not give them the latest EW pods and weapons that will threaten Russia like JASSM and LRASM.
