You two morons keep spouting off about Russia’s military when I haven’t said a word about it. This is a post about China’s economy. You got the wrong thread!

You have no answer to my brilliant observations, so you talk about some war that is not even in the news anymore. We’ve got a better war to watch on TV now.

Anyway, carry on with your Russian mental masturbation. Don’t let me interrupt with facts about the actual topic at hand.

Ok, let’s talk abut China. You are clueless about that as well.

Goobers look at an economic slowdown and declining real estate prices and predict the collapse of China.

Learn a little history !

In the case of the United States, its greatest days were preceded by a real estate crash, a stock market crash, and a decade long Depression.

It is a rite of passage to have a globally surging nation go thru a financial market crash and Depression.

It happened to the Dutch with the Tulip Bubble. It happened to Britain with the South Sea Bubble. It happened to the USA with the Depression.

And I am sure it will happen to China, as well.

There is hardly a battle in history without casualties and loss of materiel. Your assertion does not prove as much as you might think.

Why are you so over confident that you mock someone else’s personal experience, without providing systematic evidence? There is a difference between anecdotes & individual examples, versus clear systematic evidence that Western equipment, doctrine and trained Western soldiers will not be effective when fielded against a peer enemy.

Also, if I understand correctly, Russia’s army has consistently outnumbered the Ukrainians. Ukraine is still struggling to prevent missile and drone attacks - because they do not have ENOUGH Western equipment to cover the South and the East.

Now, just for laughs -

“Why are you so over confident that you mock someone else’s personal experience”

He didn’t provide LINKS to prove his personal experience, so it’s meaningless, and given his attitude it’s probably lies anyway.

Good to see Nebraska is trying to catch up with Russia, but they have a VERY long way to go.

China has been faking their growth numbers for years. There is no actual way their economy has grown at all this year.

There is an joke about how the GDP numbers are faked by government officials year ago that went like this. Person A says to Person B: “I’ll sell this piece of turd to you for 1 million RMB”, Person B says “deal”. The sale is reported to the government official. An hour later Person B says to Person A: “I’ll sell this turd back to you for 1 million RMB”. Person A says “Deal”.

They report the transaction to the government. So at the end of the day the government reports 2 million RMB in GDP for that day.

“China has been faking their growth numbers for years. There is no actual way their economy has grown at all this year.”

They can fake all they want, yet EVERY time I see a table of raw material consumption, they are on top, sometimes by an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE...and those numbers DO NOT come out of China.

So I guess they could be throwing half the world’s coal into the Pacific (for example), but I kind of doubt that’s what they’re actually doing, since it costs DOLLARS to buy that coal.

Trivia point: The reason that the Japanese were so successful in Pearl Harbor was that moved our Pacific Fleet there, from San Diego. We did that because we ‘knew’ that Japan was a backwards country and did not have the capability for their torpedoes to work in relatively shallow water. So we even DOUBLED them up in Pearl Harbor, side-by-side.

Just to get our asses kicked due to our arrogance and BEING WRONG about our enemy.

My point is that if the Neocons want to go on a World War 3 rampage, which seems to be the case, the LEAST they could have done would have been to BEEF UP the military first, BEFORE getting into combat with other Superpowers. Instead they were JUST FINE with turning our military into a giant gay bathhouse.

They didn’t lift a finger to get ready and that was due to PURE ARROGANCE and it still may cost us millions of lives, unless they’re STOPPED.

Their raw material consumption is not fake, but if what they do with does not ultimately yield ROI, then in the end it does not help their economy and in fact hurts it because they have to pay back the month they spend on those resources most of which is financed by debt.

For example, if you build a city full of building, that will consume a ton of raw materials. But if ultimately no one wants to buy an apartment and live there. They yo have a ghost city, and the bank that financed you construction needs to be paid back with interest, or it will go bankrupt, taking all the depositor’s money with them when it falls.

Most importantly is that they admit not making their target. Big red flag - no pun intended

But doesn’t their Slanty Eyes make them dumb?

Certainly seems to be what SOME PEOPLE here (and/or in government) think.

There are a lot inside and outside of government that haven’t faced up to the reality that China has passed the USA in terms of industrial output, science capability, military capability etc.

They still cling to the past by focusing on legacy assets like the $US as the international currency, as if nothing has changed since 1990.
