You need to review the basic facts. The second bullet struck Kennedy in the back of his head leaving a hole that was too small for a 30 cal. projectile to have made. It exited the front of his skull in a large exit wound... Look it up.
The Secret Service had been out partying most of the night before. Several were still so messed up that they were not able to be assigned to their normal positions. Agent Hickey holding the rifle in the car behind had never been in this position before. When he heard the shot he disengaged the safety and was standing up looking around for the shooter. The car with Kennedy in it slammed on the brakes, causing the car behind to do the same. The Agent Hickey nearly fell over, the rifle came down and was accidentally fired and hit Kennedy in the back of the head, which explains why so many bystanders nearby remembered smelling "gun powder".
Kennedy's brain was stolen from the hospital because fragments and other residue remaining in his brain would have proven without any doubt that it was not a 30 cal jacketed bullet that caused the damage.
There is a book and documentary that explained this very thoroughly years ago. Most of the circus at Bethesda Naval Hospital where a friend of my wife was working that day was meant to protect the hapless secret service agent who accidentally blew Kennedy's brains out. The first wound from Oswald would have proved fatal because it compromised his airway.
The book is called... Mortal Error: The Shot That Killed JFK. The documentary and second book made about the book is called... JFK: The Smoking Gun.
Agent Hickey who was implicated did not sue the author for years.
“Prior to the publication of the book in 1992, both the publisher and the author contacted Hickey to invite his participation in the book and offering him a chance to respond to the allegations. In 1995, Hickey sued St. Martin's Press over the claims made in Mortal Error.[22][23] The suit was eventually dismissed in 1997 on the grounds that Hickey had waited too long after the book's initial publication to file against the publisher.[24] Hickey refiled suit when the paperback edition was published, and later settled with St Martin's Press in 1998 on undisclosed terms.”
The book is still in print and available as is the second book and documentary. They did not receive a lot of attention probably because it has no effect on any of the conspiracy theories, although it does tie up a lot of loose ends.
Watching Biden makes me skeptical of these stories people come up with in their last years.

The magic bullet theory is now dead. This preposterous construction has served as the mainstay of the theory that a single shooter murdered President Kennedy since the Warren Commission advanced it 60 years ago under the direction of the former CIA Director Allen Dulles whom my…— Robert F. The most interesting aspects of his comments was he was never interviewed about that day. Seems to me like that would be an almost first step in any shooting investigation: ask the key witnesses.
The truth has been out for years. Zapruder film doctored by Kodak to remove 1.5 second limousine stop. Fourth shot caught on police audio recording. Train yard tower witness several dress alike characters on overpass. Explains the kill shot from the front. “The people” lost control of America that day.
The FIRST shot hit the pavement to the side of the limo. A total miss. A piece of the pavement hit a person standing on the overpass.
I used to be a JFK conspiracy theorist.
Then I read Gerald Posner’s “Case Closed” and Vincent Bugliosi’s “Reclaiming History.”
And that took care of that.
So the fact that this is the guy who retrieved the bullet means that he is an expert on who the bullet hit?
If the 60-year-old recollections of an 88 year old man changed your opinion on the assassination, you’re as addled as he is.
Just imagine you are Oswald. You are a CIA asset. They have sent you to Russia. You are supposed to be acting like a commie sympathizer to infiltrate communist groups. You have been told that JFK is soft on the reds by your handlers and that something is going to be done about it. They get you a job in the book depository and tell you to wait for orders.
One of your handlers tells you to go downstairs to the cafeteria and get some coffee. On the way back to the warehouse all hell breaks loose. Someone says they shot the president. Suddenly it all becomes clear to you...why they got you the job on the sixth floor, why they asked you to order the mail order gun. Even why you were sent for coffee. You have to get out of there.
You all know the rest of the story. He flees the scene, is stopped by a cop, who he shoots. He goes to a theater where he is caught. He claims he is a patsy up until he is shot by Ruby.
Looks like two shots. One from behind, he kind of hunches over and Jackie’s fussing with him, then the big shot from the front and the pink mist.
