Desantis will drop out before the FL primary if he hasn’t long long long before that.

He's only waiting to see what legal decisions come down the pike in 2023, and what he can do to abet the Deep State in jailing the man who gave him office.

While DeSantis began his Presidential campaign with considerable FAKE support

Fixed it

Bannon seems to have totally forgotten about Pres. Ronald Reagan which is a shame. Pres. Trump has some catching up to do to come close to the stature of Reagan in presidential history. Trump at fourth place would be more realistic.

“Clearly, Donald Trump and his army of consultants are panicked about Ron DeSantis’ winning debate performance and the strong momentum that has followed,” Bryan Griffin, a press secretary for DeSantis’ campaign, said

Ok, if you say so.

Agreed. Trump is a walking disaster at this point. Childish idiocy. Hoping Iowans end this train wreck so we have a shot in 2024.

Hopefully DeSantis or Vivek will win Iowa. Then Trump will become vulnerable.

As a Floridian, I don’t feel uncared for by my governor. He’s doing his job from wherever he is, just as Trump did his job from wherever he was.

I go to your profile and what do I see?

You see a list of words used by people incapable of independent thinking. You use some of those words and get butthurt.

I'm not shocked.

"As a Floridian..."

That's fine for you, but I've heard from other Floridians who aren't happy over DeSantis's running for President so soon after he was re-elected. If DeSantis didn't have a Republican majority that sent him Bills to sign, he wouldn't be a household name today. Nobody gives them the credit they deserve for making DeSantis look good.

DeSantis enjoys a solid Republican majority in Florida's statehouse because he got them elected.

That's executive leadership.

Contrast this with Trump who lost the House in 2018 and the Senate two years later.

One of the chief traits of the neocon is that they are masters of The Guilt Trip, intended to manipulate their target into falling in line with the rest of the flock.

Contrast this with Trump Paul Ryan who DELIBERATELY lost the House in 2018 and Mitch McConnell who DELIBERATELY lost the Senate two years later.

fixed it for you, Drew68.

You never answered my post pointing out that there ARE freepers who never voted for Trump.

Some of them would even proudly admit if you asked them. I know one such - and many more were NeverTrump in 2016, and couldn't wait to get back on the Ol' Trump-bashing train for 2024.

"DeSantis enjoys a solid Republican majority in Florida's statehouse because he got them elected."

He did it single-handedly did he? None of the candidates got themselves elected, and owe their election to one man, not the people who voted for them? No wonder they are so beholden to him.

"Contrast this with Trump who lost the House in 2018 and the Senate two years later."

If you look at the history of Federal mid-terms, you will see that the party that sits in the White House, usually loses control of both Houses. In 2018, Trump actually managed to hold on to the Senate. But let's not give him credit for any elections before the big steal.

“That more than 2 to 1 Republican majority in the Florida State Legislature had nothing to do with his success. His “leadership” is signing those Bills.”

Correct. And you could argue that RDS has made those bills worse on multiple occasions as well.

Trump is getting desperate following the debate.

The only thing Trump does best is spreading lies.

No, babyshit is calling everyone names like some spoiled brat. If you think that's OK, then you need to grow up as well.

And do it fast. We're running out of time.

Everyone on Free Republic voted for Trump at least twice.

Patently untrue.

Ok. 99% then, if you want to split hairs.

What is true is that folks here who like DeSantis will still pull the lever for Trump if we get the chance.

These 'Trump or Die' fools will not do likewise if Trump isn't the nominee, and they've been saying so flat-out on this forum for months now.

We're our own worst enemy.
