I’m sure it’s been in the works since their success in doing it in 2020.
I dunno. Maybe. I guess canceling them is less work and cheaper than merely stealing them. But it might also irritate people enough that they might do something about it, so it is safer to steal it secretly like usual, since they still have the mechanisms on place.
There’s not enough reporting on the extensive war gaming the Democrats did to prepare responses to Trump’s 2020 election challenges. They knew that they were going to steal the election and Trump would object. Certainly the J6 insurrection scenario was well planned in advance.
