If the spacecraft is indeed lost, it will delay the Luna program by years at a minimum, and possibly shelf it altogether.

Random thought. What would the airlines that still fly into Russia do if Ukrainian drones destroyed a couple empty Aeroflot jets on the tarmac in Moscow? Or the airport fuel farms?
Very different (quiet) night for Russian Ruble exchange rates last night - very stable around 94 to the Dollar.
The night prior, the ruble seemed to be holding under steady attack.
Maybe it is a weekend effect.
Each missile has a 1000kg (2200 pound) warhead (big boom).
My guess is the missiles were being prepared for launch. They were in a staging area just prior to being fueled.
UKR special forces (or partisans) have probably been watching this operation for weeks and waiting for this opportunity.
