How would we respond if Russia put military and missiles into Mexico?

We went to war over a telegram that merely suggested the possibility of the Mexicans joining the Germans in attacking us.

One of the terms of surrender would be that sadly, the constitution is no more.
————
Astute observation. History shows exactly that. Even Vlad stated in the Ukie signed peace agreement last spring,( yes, the Ukie negotiation team signed an agreement- but the West over road it) his Constitution will be re-written to include neutrality, and demilitarization ,just two demands that the Ukie team signed.

The West has much blood on their hands, and most certainly are the bad guys.

You must not have lived during the Kennedy years and the Cuban missile crisis.

I think you are right but it is still THE OBAMA WAR, He started it in 2014, it was only paused because Hillary lost. As soon as Trump left office it was Game ON with OBAMA still pulling Bidens strings.

We’re in a heap of trouble and a Perfect Storm could be coming.

Exactly correct, as we near the end of the 'Calm of the Storm'.

I can recollect when Trump told us near the beginning of the 'Calm of the Storm'.

> There are no good guys in this stupid incident. <

You are correct. A pox on both sides. NATO recklessly provoked Russia by expanding eastward. And then Putin overreacted by invading a sovereign country. Resources are being drained, and innocents are dying every day.

In a way, we are seeing something like the First World War. Each side is bleeding the other side, for next to nothing. But wait. There is still an opportunity for someone to escalate things from WW I to WW III.

Oh, how I wish Trump were in the White House today. For all his bluster, Trump kept the peace.

The Poles might say “Hell with NATO” and they’ll send troops to Ukraine. The Baltics will join them.

Explain to us the Bay of Pigs.

When did that happen and who caused it?

Explain to us the Cuban Missile crisis and when did that happen and why?

We went to war4 because of another demented SOB potus that REALLY liked war and could not wait to get us into that war we had absolutely NOTHING to do with.

That war is the catalyst for ALL CONFLICTS since.

We have all been through this before on here.

Makes no difference to them.

I wonder what happened to the charges brought by the ICC against THE Ukraine for crimes against humanity...one of the reasons for this conflict.

Correct. I have absolutely no faith in them.

They must think they are immune to what’s coming.

Poland might, the Baltics- never. I was in Lithuania during the Soviet pull out back in 91. Western cities ( Kaunas) rejoiced, eastern ( Vilnius) not so much.

The Lithuanian government talks big now with pledges of US money and support, but the Lithuanian people do NOT want war with Russia knowing they would be rolled up to Klaipeda in one day, they simply have no Army to speak of, and a third occupation by Russia scares the hell out of them.

They're in a bad neighborhood. The Russians will seek to annex the Baltics as soon as they get an opportunity to do so.

The real risk here is clear. If they launch operations against Russia from a country other than Ukraine that country risks attack and broadening the war.

Solution is simple, keep the attacks from originating in Ukraine.

BTW: I guess this steps backs Putin’s other threats of weapons used against him supplied by the west risk broadening the war. So at least now it’s clear. F16 are good as long as they are launched from Ukraine.

A country needs to preserve the constitution that set up the conditions for its defeat?

Do you even remember when MASSIVE Soviet weaponry was killing our guys in Vietnam and in Korea?

They GAVE the North Vietnamese Mig-21s, SAM 2 and 3s, every AK-47 they and the Viet Cong fired at Americans, Soviet rocket launchers, artillery, radar, and even ships and patrol boats. Massive killing of Americans, Australians, South Koreans and above all the innocents of South Vietnam, who had their nation robbed and people massacred by Communist ideology.

The millions of boat people happened because communism was so brutal that risking their lives on flimsy boats and giving up their homes and what little fortune they might have had was preferable to dying under tyranny. They weren’t Mexicans crossing the border for work.

Or are you too young?

Russia doesn’t have the balls to start a war with NATO.
