The killer’s biological sex was female. She was born Audrey Elizabeth Hale, and had a brother named Scott Hale. Her mother’s name is Norma Hale. I have screen captures from the mom’s Facebook page from 2017-2020. Scott ended being in music (a drummer) and lives in Brooklyn. I watched as the pages were edited in real time, but I took screen captures. Audrey and Scott were children in some of the photos, and then teenagers. I hope you can take my word for it, but I understand if you don’t.

Honestly, they shouldn’t have released the security video, it goes viral and feeds the fantasies of other fame seeking mentally ill. There is a component of social contagion in mass shooters that is amplified by media and the internet.

The ones who call her a him aren’t doing anybody any favors. They are mistaken and perpetuating the myth that she was born a boy. She was not.
