If one were to ask what is Trump’s biggest weakness it would have to be poor hiring choices.

Trump did a lot of good things, but politics moves too fast to have a “pick somebody, fire him if he doesn’t work out until you get the right person” strategy.

Jeff Sessions is an excellent example. Great Senator, lousy Attorney General. And people from Alabama tried to warn the GOP and Trump not to choose him.

So, isn’t there one Republican who’s been in Congress long enough to know how things work, who would appeal to moderates, establishment types and conservatives? There is not even one?

Boebert says that Trump called them and told them to "knock this off" and vote for McCarthy. She then says that Trump should tell McCarthy to withdraw.

First and foremost, I loathe Milquetoast McCarthy. No way in HELL he should be SOTH.

With that said: Is Lauren Boebert going to give the $1.9m she got from McCarthy, to help win her race?

Seems to me that would be the right thing for her to do. She took the money, that pretty much obliged her to support McCarthy. If she's gonna stab him in the back, she should at least give the money back.

And BTW: we all know she won't, so what does that make Boebert? No better than McCarthy in my book.

Well said! McCarthy should've stood down yesterday when it was obvious the voting was going in the wrong direction for him. 19-19-20 opposed in three different votes. No better today. He should stand down and Trump should've stayed out of this. Not a good look for him and Milquetoast McCarthy threw Trump under the bus after Jan 6th, 2021.

God only knows why Trump's backing him. He shouldn't be IMO.
