That’s what happened in the Texas House. For about three terms the Speaker was the most liberal Republican who got the support of a handful of Republicans and all the Democrats to get a majority. And the rest of the Republicans said they wanted a more conservative Speaker.
Let them do it. Let's have the treachery out in the open. Then the unspoken option could come in to play.
