Los Angeles high school principal Richelle Brooks says she shouldn’t have to pay back her $230,000 in student debt. Schools should teach their students about personal responsibility. Principal Brooks is teaching her students the exact opposite.

“Somebody is raking in the cash..”

Raking in cash at the point of a gun.

The freeloaders who want to “defund the police” are actually using the tremendous violence of the state to take away money from the working class to redistribute it to the loafers.

How so? If you don't pay your federal taxes so other people's loans can be forgiven, you get investigated. If it turns out you used a company vehicle to pick up a quart of milk you get hit with back taxes, interest and penalty.

And if you don't pay it, they seize your bank account.

That is not state violence: yet. The state violence doesn't happen until you get too cute and try to climb through a broken door or window to redress grievances. Then you get shot dead.

But the loafer ends up with your estate paying for their worthless degree.

Only one of mine did the four-year college bit. He’s an astronautical engineer at NASA. He lived very frugally in college, got a college job at NASA in his field that earned him enough to pay the last two years tuition. When he graduated, he rented a house with four other guys and paid off his loans (in one year). Then he started saving money for a newer car. He can probably afford to buy a house now with a decent downpayment but still lives in the rental.

So, concerning this entitled woman, any guess on what kind of car she drives? Benz? BMW? Audi?

Take a real serious look at lawyer salaries. Supply and demand curves seem to indicate that it’s not a real lucrative career path for most.

She’s either lying or stupid, and probably both.

If you make your payments on time there is always principal reduction.

She states the average student loan debt for black women is around $37,000. How did she end up owing $230K?

I wasn’t referring to loafers or who’d be stuck with the bill, I was talking about paying $200,000+ to get a college degree. From my perspective that’s absurd and looks like a shakedown racket to me.

Richelle Brooks is a high school principal. Running a high school is a management position. It requires leadership skills, maturity, the ability to budget and control spending, the acceptance of accountability, and the ability to plan and execute effectively.

By asking for $230,000 in student loan forgiveness she is admitting she does not possess the skills required for her job. She should be fired immediately.

“, I joined the Debt Collective, an organization fighting for the abolition of all forms of debt through the creation of a debtor’s union. Soon, I became one of the Biden Jubilee 100; we declared ourselves on strike from ever repaying our student loan balance, and demanded the full cancellation of student loan debt within President Biden’s first 100 days in office.

Joining the Debt Collective allowed me to finally politicize my experience. More importantly, it showed me that I was not alone: All student loan debt is the result of the systemic failures in this country.”

I get so tired of everything being about race. They’re all charged the same tuition and have the same interest rates.

“…In CA now, the average of all the UC colleges tuition is over $13,000/year.

IOW, tuition *alone* is just under the gross earnings of someone earning minimum wage….”

California’s minimum wage us very substantially higher than the federal minimum wage. Just sayin’.

You can have less income, but haven’t been late on a payment in your life, and qualify for a loan quicker than someone with higher income but a record of late payments.

But real life is most of those late payments are from low income folks. Most of those with more income pay on time..lol

Go ahead and cancel all the debt but make sure a 1099 is sent to the IRS so that these people can pay the taxes on that money which will be considered Income. Then they will find out there is no free lunch at all.

______

You would think that is true, but it's not. I have known several higher income earners who were lackadasial about paying their bills on time. Therefore, they were shocked when their credit card was denied at a restaurant, or when they found their credit score was not in the high 700s.

Most high income folks I know set up their bills for automatic payment. Makes it easy.
