As far as Hunter goes, he is in a perfect position because even if he is indicted and found guilty of anything he will be pardoned and never face punishment.
The worst thing that will happen to him is his disgusting behavior becoming known to many who still think it was all a Russian disinfo campaign finding out that it was all really true.
