As if restaurants didn’t have enough problems during the lockdown, then getting staff, food and fuel prices going up. And now this.

Cloward-Piven being implemented as we speak. Crash the system with the hopes of ushering in the socialist revolution.

Though US Foods wasn’t acquired by Sysco, it isn’t independent. The company was acquired by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice LLC and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. KKR, -3.99% in 2007.

Those two firms own 98.6% of the company and continue to hold the majority of voting power after the IPO.

I realize this is an old article, but really good. It explains Biden’s actions, which appear to be a bumbling idiot on the surface, but are strategic.

Per the article:

“The stimulus bill was written in large part by the Apollo Alliance, whose alumni include Van Jones. In New York, the Apollo Alliance is headed by Weather Underground co-founder, Jeff Jones, partner to Bill Ayers in the radical terrorist group and in whose living room Barack Obama launched his political career in Chicago.”

Listening to Beck back in the tea party days taught me about this strategy.

Smart guy.

I have heard about the Cloward-Piven strategy for years, crash the system to usher in socialism, at times it appears this is going to happen, I warn those pushing this strategy, be careful what you wish for, crashing the system could usher in socialism, it could also usher in something for them that would be far worse, a resurgence of the right.

We are on the verge of Roe v. Wade getting struck down, the Supreme Court could rule to expand gun rights, we have a number of young conservative leaders like Ron DeSantis, etc..

The point is, it’s not certain that socialism would be the result of collapsing the system.

“I have heard about the Cloward-Piven strategy for years, crash the system to usher in socialism, at times it appears this is going to happen”

I remind myself continuously that the strategy is a hypothetical strategy. Will C-P work? Hypothetically yes, and yet it has never been tested and proofed?

Well I guess most restaurants are going out of business then... Look for fast food on a plate at a franchise near you!

I wonder if the two realize that putting pressure on urban areas and Suburban areas is putting pressure on Democrats for the most part. Democrats will start seeing some Realization (gotta listen to Johnny Rivers today)...

I sort of boast about the fact that during the recession of 72 I was in college on a 10-speed and I didn’t really even notice it... But what I forget to recall is how bicycles are laboriously hard to ride around on all the damn time.

Doesn’t matter what we call the war against Americans, we are targeted for repression and elimination. That is what this “labor” dispute is about, nothing more than the frequent arsons of food related venues, etc.

Our side gets hung up on Socratic discussions which are pointless.

I haven’t eaten out at a restaurant for almost a year. I only eat at them when I’m traveling out of the area. I live in a shitty little city, that offers very little when it comes to restaurants. Anything like Red Robin is an hour away. There aren’t many offerings in the larger city a half-hour away either, and I’m not driving those distances just to eat out. We have one Applebee’s, that I never go to, and some private Italian restaurants/pizza shops, a Moe’s, a Taco Bell, and one or two other Mexican restaurants...stuff I don’t eat. The rest are fast-food chains, and I don’t eat their food either. If I get anything, it’s a chocolate shake from Arby’s. That’s the only thing they have that’s any good.

Trying to squeeze milk from a dry cow. It inflation circle of destruction in full swing.

Now our congresscritters prepared to make no sacrifices during the inflationapalooza, they gave themselves a 21% percent pay increase off the backs of the suffering people. And most don’t even know they did it. Helluva deal!

The fallacy of C-P strategy like most academic theories is they always discount the inevitable unintended consequences and pushback from the opposing side.

They assume that everyone will just fall in line and willingly accept socialism and any pushback will be minor and can be shut down and discarded.

They could be right but I would expect significant push back and open defiance from a significant portion of the population.

Two points here:
1-Labor unions are a scourge on society.
2-That “feel-good” period with truckers in America is about to take a nose dive if they shut down the food supply. I respect truckers, but they do this, I’ll put them right up there with the rest of the socialists and communists trying to destroy America. From 100 to 0% respect in a second.
