Our poor certainly have pretty nice looking cars, in that photo.
Around the rest of the world, they wish they were our poor.
I worked on the Holiday food drives. Found that often the most needy would not ask or accept baskets. One year a really needy family was missed. After Thanksgiving the teacher asked the children about their holiday. The child told the teacher they had baked beans and hotdogs and with a smiling face told her they had desert of Pumpkin pie.
One year I helped do an Easter breakfast with our church and there was a lot of food left over, ham and eggs and pastries, etc.
So we gave some to a faithful family we knew were having a really hard time financially and she was so excited! They could have a real Easter dinner that day. She said they were going to have egg salad sandwiches for Easter.
It broke my heart. I was so glad we thought of them and they really did appreciate it.
