I will admit, that was a bit depressing to write, though. There was once a time long ago when I would have looked at Democrats as naive people who were Americans with different opinions.

Eventually the medication stops working because the brain has deteriorated to the point that there isn't really anything left to medicate. Eventually people with dementia, and Alzheimer's is just one of the seven forms of dementia end up having a stroke which kills them.
Such was the case with my mother many years ago.
