Ted Cruz Tweetstorm: Yesterday, I used a dumb choice of words and unfortunately a lot of people are misunderstanding what I meant.

What do you propose doing about it?

And before you answer, posting angry words on internet bulletin boards, including this one, does not count as activism.

What’s the plan, exactly?

You don’t believe he could raise a stink big enough to force action if he chose to do so?

You started this off by saying that Cruz should have this judge "dragged off the bench", so that's the "action" I assume you're asking me if Cruz can force. And the answer is "absolutely not."

Literally the only two ways to remove that judge from the bench require either 1) Nancy Pelosi supporting impeachment, and then 2/3 of the Senate voting to convict or 2) the Biden Justice Department prosecuting the Judge. And there is absolutely no way in hell Cruz or any other Republican could force that to happen. Ever. The Dems all affirmatively support that judge throwing January 6 people into prison, and they don't give two craps for the opinions of Cruz or his constituency no matter how much of a stink he makes. .

I'm honestly curious - what in the world makes you think that Ted Cruz (and why you're singling out just him I have no idea) has the power to force Democrats to impeach a federal judge they love??? They hate Cruz and don't listen to a damn thing he says. In fact, getting criticized by Cruz probably helps them with their core voters.

If you want this Judge to get the boot, then you'd better hope for a massive landslide win in 2022 to let us impeach and then convict. And I actually think Democrats don't even have enough seats up in 2022 to enable us to get the 67 votes we would need for conviction in the Senate.

All Cruz HAS to say is “The protest at the Capital was mostly peaceful. There were a handful of protestors who let their emotions overtake their reason...but they were a tiny majority . I agree FULLY with the protests and the fact that they were protesting at what seems to be a contested election that was swept under the rug.”

Preach it, brother!

Can’t no one do nothing!

Lay down. Relax. It won’t hurt so much.

Should have just said I was wrong, very wrong. I never should have used the word terrorist regarding the jan 6th events. Please accept my apology.

That is what he should have said.

Instead he doubled down.

Insisting that he always calls things that are not terrorism that makes it OK, somehow......./s

A slave asks “is it legal?”

A free man asks “is it right?”

Cruz has all kinds of access to all kinds of power and can create all kinds of hell on the issue if he wanted to.

He doesn’t want to. Because, as *anyone* that’s been paying attention over the last handful of years knows, Cruz IS allied to the problem.

Cruz is a lying piece of degenerate s**t.

You may enjoy being bent over the bench and punked bloody by those who are supposed to be looking out for us at the fedzilla legislature.

I don’t.

My kith and kin don’t.

Oh, and your feeble attempt to call me or others to the carpet for daring to question or speak out against those who anoint themselves as our betters?

Says plain and clear which side of this fight you’re on.

Semper Fidelis, Mac.

Agree. Cruz is a sitting United States Senator. He has a lot of power. He’s not using it to patriotically engage the deep state coup. Who authorizes the FISC? Who approves their budget? Etc., etc. Cruz and the GOP Senate have been AWOL when not pulling a McCain and directly supporting the coup. That’s 100% on them and not those who call out the facts at hand.

Again, you avoid all specifics and just say that there must be "something" Cruz could do. And you don't give any specifics because you have no idea what you're talking about. You aren't even disputing what I said about the odds of impeaching the judge, or that there isn't any other way to get him/her off the bench. You don't say that's wrong -- you just say that Cruz could do "something" to get that judge off the bench, by "raising hell". That's gibberish.

But okay, let's say that Cruz isn't doing anything because he "is allied to the problem."

So why hasn't a single one of the other 49 GOP Senators done whatever it is you think Cruz should do to "drag that judge off the bench? According to you, any Senator should be able to create the "all kinds of hell" that magically drags this judge off the bench. But yet, not a single one of them, nor a single member of the House has managed to do that.

So either every single Republican member of Congress is secretly in the tank for Democrats...or you are simply wrong about their ability to remove from the bench a judge who has the full support of Democrats.

And ask yourself this: if a Senator could "drag from the bench" any federal judge they don't like simply by "raising hell", why didn't the Democrats remove even a single one of Trump's judges the same way??

Okay, so it's not Cruz -- you think that every single GOP Senator is in the tank for Democrats. So why even bother with anything anymore?

But you still didn't answer the question of why not a single Democrat Senator didn't "raise hell" and get any of Trump's judges dragged off the bench either. Are they all in the tank for Republican??

The judges?

They sure as hell tried. False testimony. False accusations. Hearings.

But, in reality, it didn’t matter. There’s a very limited pool to pick from, and they’re all, or very nearly all, compromised from jump.

It is that bad.

It has been for a long time.

The only difference between now and back in “the good ol’ days” is that a whole lot of it has been exposed for anyone that cares, or is capable, to see for themselves.

Cruz is a federal senator.

There is a crap ton of power in that position.

You can pretend otherwise all you want.

But you really need to ask yourself, why do you put so much effort into defending what you know damn well is broken and ruined?

When has Cruz ever kept his word on anything important? When has any GOP/RNC rep or senator won a major political battle against the left that really mattered?

You’ll find the occasional token victory that they can all point to and say “see! we’re winners for realzies!” but that’s it.

and that’s how it’s been for decades already.

if you and your kind choose to wear the blinders and pretend it’s not, then that’s on you. No one else but you.

And that makes you very much a part of the problem.

Senator Cruz's judgment is deficient, to say the least. The RINO wing of the Republicans is weaker than it was before 2015. Was he trying to finesse a position between the RINO establishment and the so-called far right as a right of center figure, sort of a modern day William Buckley? If so, Cruz failed miserably. The “responsible conservative” position is less tenable than it was 30-40 years ago, as the Left is more emboldened and is showing their collective inner Stalin. if Cruz is to have a future in politics beyond the U.S. Senate seat in Texas, which he almost lost to a flaky son-in-law of a billionaire, he would be well advised not to deviate from a MAGA position.

Ah, so the ol' "it doesn't matter anyway" argument, which is the last refuge of someone whose argument has collapsed. Because if that was true, it would of course means that it wouldn't even have mattered if Cruz or any of the other 49 GOP Senators had magically gotten rid of this judge because he/she would just have been replaced by one equally compromised. So if it doesn't make any sense for Democrats to get rid of Trump judges -- which they 100% were unable to do -- then it doesn't make any sense for Republicans either. Which means your whole tirade about Trump no single-handedly removing a federal judge is utterly pointless.

why do you put so much effort into defending what you know damn well is broken and ruined?

I'm defending nothing of the sort. I'm attacking your utterly ridiculous argument that one U.S. Senator in the minority party has the power to "drag off the bench" a sitting federal judge just by "raising hell." See, I don't care if a stupid argument is made by someone on my side or not. All stupid argument deserve to be shredded, no matter which side makes them. And you should ask yourself the same question anyway. If it is all "broken and ruined", then what is the point of you making this argument in the first place? Because according to you, not just Cruz but every other GOP Senator is owned by the Deep State, and every judge is compromised. So exactly why are you even discussing any of it if you actually believe your own drivel?

I guess it was Tucker’s turn to play the principled conservative. When was the last time Tucker took a hard look at election fraud in 2020? Never. Tucker defends Trump supporters but not Trump. It’s a little game he plays. He supports the right of people to question whether the election was stolen, but he doesn’t support the conclusion that it was.
That Tucker. He’s a sly one.
