As Tucker correctly noted, Cruz used the word “terrorists” quite deliberately. The Senator claimed to have only used the word to reference those in attendance who assaulted cops. But how many cops were actually assaulted that day? From the tapes I’ve seen, there was a little pushing and shoving of a very small number, but that’s it. Hardly “terrorist” activity. Plus Cruz used the word to disparage the entire protest, not just a few yahoos. Kudos to Tucker for a tough interview. Cruz will never be CIC. Too unprincipled and unlikeable.
Ted looked very greasy. He got hammered today and he is trying to wiggle out of what he said.
Ted is extremely articulate and very intelligent but he has been in DC for too long (my .02). Tucker was correct to nail him on this because now he is trying to say it was about people who assaulted cops.
Disappointed.
Texas is a very red state, certainly they can do better than Cruz and Cornyn
Dems rally around their “filth” because that filth actually represents and delivers for them. Can conservatives say the same about gasbag Republicans like Senator Cruz? Obviously, not.
There’s really no excuse for what Cruz said and I’m sure Tucker Carlson knows that. So then I’m left to wonder why Tucker Carlson would have him on in the first place.
Cruz has stepped in it before, mainly because of his hatred for Trump. This was probably born of that hatred as well. He just can’t resist when he feels like he has a chance to take Trump down a notch.
It’s really stupid and he winds up doing far more damage to himself. It also shows a huge lack of character.
Tucker ripped Cruz a big one.
Cruz contacted Carlson and wanted to come on his show to explain.
Ted was a greasy climber long before he arrived in the swamp. Waste of his talents.

Political theater in my opinion(humble). Meant to distract the propagandist media. With the lying media smothering us with bs about the “insurrection”...someone had to create a big stir to get the media off their anti trump,anti patriot, conservative mischaracterizations. Note: statement made 1/5...explanation 1/6....coincidence?
So Cruz explained his “gaffe”...and went after the democrats....for a longer period of time than his mea culpa...Cruz did chose his words wisely....they were meant to create a deniable stir. My humble opinion.
I don’t recall seeing a bunch of cops being violently attacked on 1/6. What is Cruz talking about? He has stepped in it.
Ted, when you’re in a hole, maybe you should stop digging.
The damage is done and you own it. Accept it.
