Iran has a history of trying to horn in on Afghani politics. The Taliban executed some Iranian diplomats back in the 90’s. Iran is probably not very happy about the return on the Taliban.

I’m sure those in Israel don’t mind waiting for the dust up.
Hmm...Wonder if the Taliban had any ‘outside encouragement’ to confront Iran at this particular time?
