Springfield has been a little slow getting us product, so no, an XDM in .40 is not in stock, nor is .45 acp, but we do have them in 9mm.
They come from Croatia and all the European suppliers have been slow, CZ, Glock, Walther, FN, Beretta, etc.
Smith and Wesson has been the best supplier for us through this run. We have always had S&W even when we were out of everything else.

As to ammo manufacturers, they are running 24/7 cranking out as much as possible, but demand has been outstripping supply.
One thing that hurt was Remington was out of action entirely due to bankruptcy, but the ammo business has been bought by Vista Outdoors and they are now up and running again.
We have been getting regular shipments, but it goes out as fast as it comes in, even at double the prices of two years ago.

It just feels like there has been a chronic shortage of ammo (most kinds) since 2008, when the 1st communist was elected. Now that the 2nd communist has been “elected” and a 3rd waiting in the wings, ammo manufacturers would do well to try and open up new plants. If possible.

There was a run in 2008-09 that produced significant shortages that ended in a crash of prices (that’s when I bought) and the same thing happened after the 2012 school shooting.
Panic and run on ammo and then a glut and prices crashed again (that’s when I bought, too).
I suspect this time will be different, but manufacturers are reluctant to invest huge amounts in new lines which are very expensive to set up.

“I have trouble reconciling that the powers-that-be would devise a plan to kill off the most compliant of the herd, leaving the resistors armed, and with reason to destroy said powers.”

Awesome analysis.

You have it backwards they are targeting the resistors. The next bioweapon released will not have a 2% CFR it will be a real SARS virus like SARS v1 that had a 40%+ fatality rate but engineered to have an Ebola like 80% CFR. Any unvaccinated person will be wiped out by that bug as the bug will target ACE2 cells that don’t have the synthetic MRNA genes added by the vaccines. People seem to think that the vaccines are the bioweapon and they will target the vaccinated no that’s backwards they are going to target the resistors those are the people they want to kill that makes absolute sense. Killmy off your complaint worker bees who make you rich is idiocy.

Point your comment at the person who made that statement, which I copied and published, because I don’t have a clue what you’re babbling about.

Thank you.

This statement from you: “Killmy off your complaint worker bees who make you rich is idiocy” is especially unusual. Do you raise worker bees? That’s cool.

Pour another snifter of cognac for yourself.

We all have our odd days, even you.

"Ammo shortage is continuing”

Guess it all depends on how you define "ammo shortage". Walked into my favorite 'local gun shop' this week, and they had just about any common type of ammo a guy might want, sitting on the shelves: 9mm, .223/5.56, 7.62x39, .45acp, 12 gauge, etc. Prices are still elevated, but coming down - Midway has M193 for just over 60 cents a round, with free shipping available. So, if you think "ammo shortage" means empty shelves everywhere, I think we're past that. But if you think "ammo shortage" means there's no ammo at rock-bottom/give-away/stack-it-6-feet-deep-in-the-basement prices, well, I guess we still have an "ammo shortage"...
