So what, his hands are empty. He had a weapon earlier and he knowingly hid his right hand behind his right hip then put his right hand up extremely fast. He knew exactly what he was doing, he just picked an officer with good marksman skills.
Right, I don’t either, it is likely the high contrast shadow from a bright flashlight or something, but my point is...
Why are we blaming a cop who may have a family and a life, to have to make a split second decision in a dimly lit alley after a pounding foot chase with someone known to have fired a weapon?
What if that shadow IS a gun? I am angry that we put our law enforcement personnel into these situations by making it an impossible choice.
That was what I thought I saw, as well, but can’t be sure. Other than that, it looked like the police officer had been driving for about a minute and a half, with only one hand at a time on the steering wheel.
“21 year old felon takes a 13 year old out at 2:30AM where both were firing off shots in the city.”
Part of me wonders if it wasn’t the 21 year old who fired the weapon, then handed it to the kid and asked him to get rid of it when the officers arrived on scene.
Or a pistol anywhere around the dying perp after the shooting.
Where did it go?
One one of the other bodycams, there is something that looks like a semi-automatic pistol, slide back and locked, on the ground on the far side of the fence, about 10 feet further down.
Years ago their was a police involved shooting in Hartford, CT over a youth with a gun of a similar age. Of course, the family said he complied, was a good kid (who was in or driving stolen care at like 2am) and the eeeevil PD shot him whit his hands up.
The autopsy revealed the rounds went thru his biceps then into his chest. Of course, this made no difference to the family and they still believe to this day their “angel” had his hands up.
But it's not. If it were the gun would have been right next to or very close the suspects body. The gun was tossed behind the fence about 10' up the fence line, just prior to the suspect being shot.
watch as she takes a huge chuck of the CPD fore to protect her mansion, like last year, and lets the rest of the city get looted.
I agree...the reason I showed it is...in the adrenaline-filled heat of the moment...that cop probably was focused on looking at the hands of the criminal as they came around and might have misinterpreted that as a gun instead of a shadow in what, the half second or less he saw it?
I can’t help being angry that this is what we have come to.
We are being encouraged by these vocal and aggressive portions of society to give all the benefit of the doubt to this now dead criminal, and none to someone tasked with upholding the law on our behalf.
BWC2 at about 5:20 or so.
Thank you.
In first vid, gun visible on ground at 5:34.
Kid ran to break in fence to toss it on other side.
When turned to cop as raising hands, he gets shot.
Do some fast play/pause button hits around the 2:00 mark.
I can understand why cop thought kid was turning to shoot.
The video of the discarded gun was shot by another responding officers, clearly showing what appeared to be an auto type hand gun, right up against the fence, about 10’ from the fence opening from where the suspect what shot.
If the suspect had a gun in his hand at the time he was shot, the gun would be right there, right near the body. But this clearly isn’t the case.
That’s what I noticed as well. Couldn’t make out exactly what hit was but a split second later it is gone.
We know they found gun shot reside on his hands, so if he was firing he might have tried to ditch the now empty weapon, but from a distance it was likely impossible to determine. By the time the officer saw the gun-like object and pulled the trigger, the kid looks to have tossed it in that same second.
It's Democrats. Should we really care? How about we show as much concern as they do for us?
Someone else points out that it's also in the first video at about 5:34.
That was in the first season’s 2nd show. (I have all 5 years on DVD).
Excellent. It’s pretty clear (to me) now what happened.
A wise decision.
Holy Toledo!
This is not good.
