21 year old felon takes a 13 year old out at 2:30AM where both were firing off shots in the city. One wonders where the parents were.

Maybe the 21-year-old is the father of the 13-year-old who is also a father and they were going to the pharmacy to get life-saving medicine for the grandson. They just happened to find a handgun that white two racists in MAGA hats dropped while chasing Jussie Smollett with a noose.

Then again, the 13-year-old might be an unaccompanied minor acting on Jao Bai-Din's orders and came across the border last week to spread COVID to Americans.

Yeah, this happens so fast. The cop knew the kid had a gun, did not see him drop it, and must have thought the shadow was a gun barrel. When the kid turned, the cop thinks he's turning to fire. At that moment, you have less than one second to make a decision.

Slow motion and high resolution don't reveal what was going on at the moment in the mind of the cop. I'd bet anything, the cop was sure that the gun was still in the kid's hand.

I can’t help being angry that this is what we have come to.

We are being encouraged by these vocal and aggressive portions of society to give all the benefit of the doubt to this now dead criminal, and none to someone tasked with upholding the law on our behalf.

Definitely a pistol at the 5:34 time mark. To me it looks like an older Ruger “P” series pistol leaning upside down against the fence with the slide locked back.

I'm sorry for those honest citizens living in those cities....

other than that, I don't care....

the bad cities are all run by rats, let them burn...

there is a sick violent society and then there is a good citizenry...

stores/gas stations/restaurants/movie houses, etc need to learn who butters their bread.....the good citizenry....

good citizens just need to move out and never come back.

and that means no more attending sports or music venues...

just cut the cord.

Working nights @ Wards on state street downtown Chicago, I watched part of the west side go up in flames when MLK got shot. Nobody stopped it. Southside remained mostly quiet. Wards gave us a choice of staying til morning or leaving whenever...

I'm thinking if "we" continue to stay on the sidelines, all this will continue.
a lot of somebodys have to die if this is to stop.

There’s a link to a pic upthread (72?) that shows the kid holding what looks like the same pistol with the slide locked back. So, it looks like the kid shot till the mag was empty and ditched it. If he had a spare mag the cop could very well be dead. I also saw in another post on this subject that the kid had gunshot residue on his hand.

If he had a gun in his hand as you implied, the gun would have been very close to the body. The gun was found about 10' behind the fence opening, clearly indicating the suspect had already tossed the gun just prior to being shot.

Hopefully the fingerprints on the gun will help.
