The reason Texas is in this mess in the first place are clean air mandates in favor

Don't remember how Texas manipulated the West coast a few years back, manipulating and over charging for power from T. Boone Picken's windmills huh?

Why does the Texas Governer have to ask Biden’s permission?

I haven’t seen one story talking about the state’s other Senator, where was he and what was he doing, and while we at it how about all the people in the House, where were they?

“........The gist of the order is that the EPA will lallow ERCOT to generate power with sources that don't meet EPA emissions standards. This is good. The price matter is a side issue.........”

Not if you have a $16,000 power bill from your electric utility that is just passing along its costs.

It’s a diversion with the added benefit of targeting a republican.

Period.

Gaslighting 101

There are many people and entities that deserve “blame” for the situation. Cruz does not even begin to make the list yet now for many if not most “he” is the story.

Don’t see how that had anything to do with Texas.

I do remember making lots of money selling natural gas to Kalifornia for $9.00 an mcf back in the early 80s. It was sooooo good. We had one well selling to three pipelines sending all they could to Kalifornia. Sweet!

I wouldn’t have asked in the first place. Abbott should have just done it.

There is a reason for anti-trust laws at least there was before business got in bed with the government. Buy something for a dime and sell it for a thousand dollars because is is a buy or die decision is just fine with you. A christian should sell it at a reasonable profit maybe 13 cents never a thousand. Anything over a reasonable profit is theft whether you accept that or not. What Texas did during that shortage was laugh and jump with glee for sticking it to Kalifornia not caring one whit what they were doing to the innocent. Yeah I know not many innocent left in Kalifornia but there are/were some twenty years ago.

You are the kind of guy that would love to have had the life boat concession on the Titanic.

I have had the chance and didn't love it. Selling something to someone when I knew it was cheaper somewhere else sickened me.

You asked about high power bills.

Many in Texas have time of day power pricing. The DOE order established minimum marginal cost wholesale power prices of $1.50/kWh.

There was a concession for lifeboats on the Titanic? I never knew.

What can I do to wind you any tighter?

I would like to apologize to all for my contribution to fake news when I posted the link to the Emergency Order regarding the disaster in Texas. I said it was an EPA Emergency Order. It was not. It was a Department of Energy Emergency Order. That DOE order does reference EPA and emissions governed by EPA, but it is still a DOE order.

You wound me up, hardly, you are the one wound up. There was no concession for life boats on the Titanic, but you would have loved to had one, I am sure.
