President Trump’s greatest legacy may well be his judicial confirmations. Long may they sit and write majority opinions.

Nope.

That bitch is from New York.

We need to expel her from our Republic.

Hmmm. Sounds fairly unconstitutional.

By all means, gents, pass this puppy. It’ll be fun.

Absolutely! I don’t think people understand just how critical they are to getting your agenda to stick long term. Yes you may issue an EO, but the next guy comes along and wipes those out. Yes you may get a great law passed, but the next guy comes along and gets it all changed. Want it to stick? Fill the benches with judges who have brains.

I’m not seeing this passing even the house but definitely not the senate.

If it does I’ll go back to the original argument of people complying.

There’s an estimated 434 - 600 million firearms in civilian possession spread out between about 75 million gun owners and about 20 million arms are the AR-15 variant.

It would be an impossible law to implement and if you piss off let’s say like during the revolutionary war just 3% of gun owners who revolt that’s ~2.25M people.

just as it is today.

Yep! I expect that criminal use of firearms will dramatically INCREASE as a result of this blatant violation of the Constitution.

“Anyone who has ever been hospitalized due to mental illness, drug or alcohol abuse, homicidal or suicidal thoughts or a brain disease would not be eligible to obtain a firearms license,”

Here's a better idea: Anyone who has ever been hospitalized due to mental illness, drug or alcohol abuse, homicidal or suicidal thoughts or a brain disease would not be eligible to run for congress.

“Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee”

Does she want to disarm white folks so they can’t shoot black folks when they try to rob you or break into your house. Amazes me these so-called black leaders ignore the 6,000+ black on black murders, mostly young blacks, every year. Seems to me they are more interested in gaining control over whites than solving black on black crime.

Chicago first....................

If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. t appears that the net effect of this plan is to increase the number of outlaws.

Serious question: hasn’t SCOTUS already ruled gun registration is unconstitutional?

Counter offer:

Every 3 months, every member of Federal and State congresses will undergo drug testing, psych eval, and an exam proving proficient understanding of the Constitution (Federal and State for the state members). Failure on any of those will result in the automatic recall of the member, with a special election to be held at the next appropriate time.

The sponsor of a bill will pay a $1000 per page tax, with each cosponsor putting up 75% of that. In the event that a bill is later struck down as unconstitutional, it will be considered that, since the sponsor demonstrated a knowledge of the Constitution, that it was deliberate, and thus criminally liable.

While we’re at it, the President will pay a $10,000 per executive order tax, that doubles after each. IE, 10k for the first, 20k second, 40k third and so on.
