Honestly, I think there is a good chance big tech was created by the CCP and we are at the beginning of the end game. Who is to say that these guys weren’t China operatives all along to appear to be the founders. BT controls everything and China is the beneficiary.
It not market, it’s annihilation of Conservative speech.
Amazon just booted Parler.
So we are now down to censorship at the provider level.
So what's next after that?
Let's not be naive.
And this is the web giant wanting to host the US military? Nonsense.
I’m beginning to feel like I’m living behind The Iron Curtain.
No, Parler leased the actual “press” from Amazon.
And now Amazon has denied access to that press.
Beginning to think China might be more free.
100 BOYCOTT ANAZON
Not one purchase, not one dime .
A lot of freepers cheer this on.
What’s next: get your own press.
Put a computer on an internet common carrier, run your own server.
What a perfect bunch of fascists. And they are totally oblivious to what they have become.
And when the common carrier boots you?
Repukes have nothing to say. Pathetic
You are kidding, right? No Freeper wants to live behind the Iron Curtain.
That analogy is also incorrect.
Parler leasing a "building" with the utilities such as electricity and telecoms would be more accurate.
Parler built their own press on the premises and using the utilities rented from AWS.
Many here are fine with big tech stifling free speech under the guise of some twisted version of freedom of association.
And this is part of why the monopoly effect kills the ‘it’s a private business’ argument

Amazon provides the service of reproducing and transmitting information.
Parler wrote the software, but rents the hardware that actually copies the bits.
I am not a lawyer but it seems to me that:
-my knowledge of AWS contracts indicates a requirement of 30 days notice for termination
- an emergency petition to a judge to enforce that 30 day notice should be easy to obtain
- a lawsuit for discrimination, breach of contract and/or torturous interference should be easy to win.
