Interesting. I once had a strong adverse reaction to, apparently a “binder” (normally inert) component in an Ester C tablet (nausea, headache) and Acetaminophen on an empty stomach can upset my stomach (but no nausea that I recall), but those are the only OTC meds I recall being troublesome.
It almost seems like a 1000 IU supplement of D3 (pill) makes me feel “draggy” / generally fatigued / sleepy, but I need to do a more controlled test... I started taking those at my Dr.’s recommendation a few years ago, when my D3 levels tested low.
I find that I have to take calcium or eat cheese with D3 or I get really tired and achy. I believe it can deplete Calcium in your bones.
My reaction to the oral med was different though.
Prayers up for your mom, her friend, and you.
Many older people recover completely.
I read about a 100 year old woman who had it and recovered.
Praying for him and you.
Read later.
TY. He left the body to be reunited with his wife on Saturday. TBH he didn’t fight the disease that much and I think the crushing loneliness since her passing 2 years ago was just too much, and he gave up.
Thanks. I think my mom is holding up, but lonely and upset about Christmas.
As for me I’m feeling awful. Not obvious any kind of cold symptoms. Just MAJOR body aches and fatigue. To the point of I feel I’m worn out just sitting here. Standing up I can pass out within minutes. It’s as if I have severe BP variation.
Just got the word my mother IS COVID positive.
Good tip about the melatonin.
That came from my family doctor.
My condolences. As a recent widow, I know just how he felt, longing to be reunited. Now they are together for Christmas.
Do you have someone with you, watching out for you?
It really sounds like covid.
Extra prayers for you today.
Thanks!
Oh yes I have a husband and son. But that means they also will probably get it.
Anyway my mom sounds that she is still suffering mostly this weakness and fatigue. Strictly she is alone but my cousin does live in the house and he visits her every day. But he’s mostly busy with his virtual students so not nearly constant.
To date I know personally not even 2 handfuls of folks who have had it..
A few cases were severe.. no deaths
I assume that I actually know hundreds of people who had it and were mild to completely asymptomatic, and this never know they had it.
Does “severe” include hospital?
Yes, some of the severe have included hospitalizations.. one for nearly 2 weeks.
I know of second hand, less than 5 deaths. No one I know directly has died .
Ok, well, I am positive for COVID.
I think it’s safe to say my husband has it too, and likely our son.
I hope your mom recovers quickly.
