Actually, most "everyday folks" have families, jobs, and other responsibilities, so they can't be "in the streets for months." What you're REALLY talking about is Democrat "astro-turfed" demonstrations, which will no doubt also include "mostly peaceful" looting and riots...

I read the whole article/statement this came from and it was very clear the official was speaking about what would happen to the Democratic party due to the party not fully embracing the Progressive wing’s agenda. He pretty much meant that the party would become even more radical and current reps and senators would be at risk to losing their seats to people like AOC.
This doesn’t mean there will not be violence post election. There will be. But the above quote was not about actual heads rolling bloody streets but about politics.
