And the hospital miss out on the federal government payment for treating uninsured COVID19 patients? I wonder if that would be their desire.
Isn’t it more likely to think that in a stressful emergency it was an error? The Javit’s Center was just cleared yesterday to take COVID19 patients after having been solely reserved for patients without insurance who were also not COVID19.
The hospitals want the USS Comfort to take trauma patients off their hands since most of those are without insurance and they are not going to be reimbursed from the federal government for treating them.
Many are brought by ambulance. Others by family - but the family is not allowed to stay.
Any hospital that wants some patients, the Air FOrce has a fleet of C-141s that do nothing but transfer patients. I have had to take a few rides on them.
I was asking about drs, nurses, aides, service & maintenance employees, etc, not patients.
Well, if they don't allow visitors, and since most patients probably arrived by ambulance or were driven there by someone else, that's understandable. Also, there is probably a separate employee parking lot.
They have employee parking. The blog pimps are looking at patient parking.
My gf is a nurse in a suburban/rural area with no Coronavirus cases and she just had her hours cut to zero until this is over.
Your doc should put on fresh PPE and get her scan done somewhere away from the ruckus, since Stage 4 C is no joke. JMO.
Iowa has 12,000 laid off health workers:

It is a large well known clinic. They must have weighed the pros and cons of it.
I”m guessing they’re expecting to be slammed, if they’re putting off cancer procedures.

It ain’t a good sign.
The scum doubles every day... in 30 days the pond will be covered and the frog will die.
Question: what day is the pond half covered?
(yes, this will explain the situation you're talking about)

I thought the C-141 was no longer in service. You thinking of C-17 maybe?
Showing my age. The C17 was coming attractions in my day.

The aircraft remained in service for over 40 years until the USAF withdrew the last C-141s from service in 2006, after replacing the airlifter with the C-17 Globemaster III
mmm k
Then what door are they passing through to get in the hospital because I am not seeing anyone in the parking lots of hospitals in my area...?

My wife is somewhat (ok VERY) OCD. She’s going to worry herself to death. One second she says she understands that we can’t live being extremely paranoid, the next she’s in a panic because she touched something that hadn’t been wiped down - “oh no, now everything is contaminated!!!!”
...driving me a bit nuts :) ...but she puts up with me too :)
Parking lots are not a good indicator right now as most hospitals are not allowing visitors and most staff not directly associated with patient care is working from home
