The logic arguments he used were consistent and correct, became a hard right conservative.
lord please help give strength to this Man. he is a fighter and needs you now.
My guess is that he already has a will.
I found him on TV in about 1994 I guess. Were traditional Californians so of course it was Nixon and Reagan for us long before that but when possible, I tune in because hes pretty much good for the cause.
28 years of listening to Rush on the EIB. I have learned so much it’s incredible. I do a radio show here in Buffalo, just a fillin but people call me the Rush of Buffalo. It’s humbling, I couldn’t fill his shoes but, he was the father of Conservative talk, a mentor to me actually.
Everyone of my friends have put out pleas for Prayer. I wept and started praying before he ended his statement today.
God Bless you and get well, Rush.. I listened to Rush in early on when he was on WIXZ in McKeesport, Pa. Rush, went by the name of Jeff Christy he was on the same station as Terry Lee the originator of Music For Young Lovers featuring oldie music groups from the 50s and 60s. I didnt know him by his real name until later as I listened to him and he mentioned this period in his life. A real pleasant surprise for me! Hang tough Rush and God Bless You!
OK, I’ll bite, which card will he get? I hear Will cards are only for the wealthy Trust Fund kids.
I was hard-core conservative before Rush. In fact, I think it was about one week after starting college at ESU, when I saw the what the Leftists there wanted (the same Leftists who now control the DNC, by the way).
Even so, there was literally NOTHING to listen to or watch for our side. The best we could do was watch debates with somewhat reasonably newscasters, particularly Ted Koppel and David Brinkley. Or, if we were on uppers, we might be able to stay away through Firing Line, with William F. Buckly.
Then Rush and my life changed. The first time I heard him was on Saturdays, during re-broadcasts. I was like “Crap, this guy is great, who the hell is he...and then I learned his name” and back then he was ridiculing the Left non-stop through his various ‘updates’ - they were HYSTERICAL. I was in Los Angeles when he first came there...he was in studio in Los Angeles for a week - he knew then that he just went from big time to HUGE TIME. And he never went back.
At one point I had three lamp timers running to record his show on cassettes - and believe it or not, I was always within a minute of each hour’s start time, often much closer. It was amazing what those mechanical devices could do.
When we finally got a car that played CDs, but not tapes, my wife was happy that my tapes wouldn’t work anymore...but along with CDs came MP3’s...so about 45 to a disk - I still remember her reaction (as in ‘damn!’). Anyway, she’s a good conservative, but thought that I was a bit nuts (obviously right).
sorry for the miss spelling I have dyslexia and un fortunately you cant edit after its been put up. if a moderator could correct my spelling please do.
Rush made me a conservative. I started listening to his show in 1992, a few months before the election. At first I found him pretty outrageous, thinking he was exaggerating the damage being caused to the country by liberalism. But he was entertaining, so I kept listening to him
Over time, I came to see how right he was, and how almost everything he said was true.
He changed my world view in many ways. In a sense, I consider him my mentor.
I haven’t listened to him much in the past few years, because almost everything he said, I had heard before.
There is no one who has influenced the rise and development of conservatism than Rush Limbaugh.
He must get well. He is irreplaceable.
Heavenly Father, Lord of All, Master of Everything,. We come boldly before Your Throne in agreement for the healing of our media friend Rush Limbaugh. With You all things are possible to those who love the Lord. May this be a time of testimony, a time where You are honored and glorified. A time of Salvation for those who are under conviction of the Saving Power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray for hope and comfort for family and friends. Thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask this all in the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen
I got tears in my eyes when I heard the news today. He’s irreplaceable. He enlightened and educated me about the greatness of this country, rugged individualism and conservatism from my early 20’s. I didn’t really care about politics in my teens. That changed when I started listening to Rush.
Prayers and well wishes for you, Rush. You are an American institution!

I really love Rush. I am one of his subscribers. Been listening for years.
Praying for a miraculous remission!
I started listening to Rush in college in the dark days after the Clinton election in 92. I was hooked the first time I listened. When all the other girls in the dorm were watching 90210, I was drinking a Snapple and watching the Rush Limbaugh show. When I graduated, they voted me most likely to marry Rush Limbaugh. (Alas, I never seemed to catch him between wives.)
Rush has brought me hope when all seemed hopeless, laughter when all seemed lost, and wisdom in an unwise time.
He is the voice of the silent majority. I pray most fervently that he not be silenced.
Godspeed Rush, and prayers.
Godspeed Rush, and prayers.
Listened to the RLS when nobody knew where Rio Linda was, but I drove by it daily. Always on the office radio down low to escape sideways looks from the boss. A rational voice for the last 20 years that makes a difference in the lives of so many. Fight hard, Rush
I started listening to Rush in 1991. We had just moved and I was looking for a station that carried Paul Harvey. My first impression was that this guy is a nut but I kept listening, hoping that Paul Harvey would show up. By the time I figured out that Paul was not on that station, I was pretty much hooked.
Rush has been a good, albeit distant, friend ever since. I listened in college when I was doing math or physics homework, and later in graduate school when I needed to hear rational discourse to balance some of the crazy leftists that infest UC Davis.
Many prayers for Rush. The cancer journey is a difficult one.
