Striking case of incompetence on the part of Mr. Solomon. A laptop with information that critical should not be left unattended period, much less locked in a car parked on the street in DC, of all places.
Maybe he left it as bait.

Considering he wasn’t too smart to leave his laptop with explosive information in his car, I’m guessing no.

What encryption program do you highly recommend?
Hoping he’s smart and it’s backed up on the cloud. Honestly though, how dumb are you to have all your crap left on only 1 device and you leave it in your car? Come on John. Hopefully it has a gps tag and you could at least track it!
Reminding me of story a couple years ago when a Secret Service agent’s laptop (left on her motorcycle) was stolen containing blueprints to Trump Tower.
Solomon better buy a new laptop. The stolen one probably got an injection of spyware, highly classified material, and kiddie porn.
I can only guess that Solomon had a meeting in a very secured location that did not allow laptops (at least not without major trouble and compromising them). Perhaps he has been being tailed. Perhaps someone who he’d be there set this up.
