I noticed that, too. It looked like the clerk was hastily trying to close the cash drawer when the robbers walked in.
And that, “Are you okay,” guy did take his gun and run off.
That clerk is lucky to be alive.
That was an employee who took the gun off the counter.
Btw, you’re correct, the clerk is lucky to be alive...He should have had the gun in his hand 3 seconds after the suspects entered the store. He was not paying attention on who was coming through the door.

He should have shot the 3rd perp that pretended to ask if he was OK, then he stole the clerks gun.

I think that was perp #3, not a manager, and he stole the gun.

Perhaps, but in the description it said the second perp held the manager at gunpoint, while the perp in the foreground did the pistol whipping and robbing.

The Good Samaritan was the store manager who had been held at gunpoint at the back of the store by thug # 2 , read thAt in a different account. Is tv station KTVU
