As has been pointed out already on other threads, Berkeley High School was already integrated. I don't think there was ever de jure segregation in Berkeley (as in Southern states or not-Southern Topeka, Kansas) but there was de facto segregation because of neighborhoods having different racial proportions--so busing was instituted for the purpose of having the "correct" racial ratio among the pupils.

Harris and the Democrat/media establishment seem to assume that all Americans (other than deplorables) see busing for the purpose of racial balance as a good thing that everyone should support.
