The OJ unjust verdict is a button pusher for me (and I’m sure millions of good people like me).
I will never forget.
All the newsrooms of TV stations, the entire MSM starting with CNN and MSNBC, and the dinosaur print newspapers said "now we keep this totally quiet, total news blackout, get it? Agreed?"
Then one lonely guy like Johnny in Airplane who pulled the plug out of the socket and said only kidding, said "I'm gonna tell. I'm gonna tell. Here's the race and name of the guy." Someday soon, Google and all the rest will stop ALL the searches for such things. Not just 99%. Then we're finished.
True story. In this liberal city the thriving city newspaper (late 1970s) declared: only when a white commits a crime will their picture be published.
Any person of color will not be pictured anywhere in the paper. This is due to the unfortunate image of them as perpetrators of nearly every crime we cover. Showing several such people a day makes a negative image of them. We will discuss the story but picture them.
