You should always put it through this filter:
If your child was killed in a video, would you want people sharing it on social media?
There needs to be plenty of places on the Internet that can’t be controlled. That’s good for the rest of us.
I understand that it is sensitive to people who are closely related, but something like this is more serious for society as a whole and I think it overrides the personal position on the matter.
It is terrible and people need to see and know that it is and the type of person who was doing that.
And this goes, too ... for those ISLAMIC TERRORISTS who are killing Christians around the world with impunity and nowhere near the outcry that we have heard from this shooting in New Zealand.
Or, it was allowed to happen. The media and legislative response is exactly what the shooter predicted, and nobody bats an eye.
You should always put it through this filter.
Who do you want deciding what you see and hear?
Would you have a problem if they blinded you and cut off your ears to make sure you didn’t see and hear?
There is a difference between “allowing it” and “posting it”. There is a difference between “I would not want videos of my child being killed shared on social media” and “I want a law stopping people from doing it”.
