Yes, Congress is still a bordello for donors. Always has been.
Trump’s great appeal to me is his freedom from donors- but he must deal with a Congress that is owned by them.
All foreseen by our Founders, who expected the donors to ‘balance out’ in influence.
But our media is dependent on those same donors’ advertising money and there is no inherent counterforce there.
Yes, I see the love of money at root of our evils...

On the ED I expect Trump demanded majority support for his ED from Mitch before he signed the bill.
A Joint Resolution that cannot get a majority in the Senate moots arguments that the ED is against Cogress’s will.
