Yes!
It's more than an opinion.
To conquer us, they have to be the ones with the guns and in control.
If they aren't the only ones with guns, then they take a huge risk in trying to subjugate us.
Even recently I’ve seen DUmmies support the right to own their own gun.
However, they also advocated for a tremendous amount of gun control.
Don’t know what ever happened to them, but some are still there.
I remember the stories in China where a Loyal Party Member in each Neighborhood would turn in anyone who didn’t toe the line.
In other words, the dream of every Democrat Politician and a majority of Democrat Voters.
I am not criticizing you but merely offering the obvious tactical advisement
Those who come to take your guns will not be some general officer/deputy on a detail assignment. It will be a SWAT-style takedown with a no-knock warrant served at 4 AM. If you reach for ANY weapon you will die in a hail of bullets. This will be done loudly and without mercy, to the resistors, until the balance give up their weapons voluntarily until none remain. They will scan your wood framed residence with backscatter scanners days in advance while you are asleep and will know exactly where everything is.
This is the world we live in today.
My advice is to prepare your weapons. Store them outside of your residence. In PVC pipes filled with oil, sealed, and stored underground. in a location that is accessible but not immediate.
The idea of dying in a "blaze of glory" helps no one.
Yes, Solzhenitsyn was right, but that was in the 1930/40's when the scanning technologies did not exist. You could conceal weapons out of sight and have a realistic expectation of continued availability. Now, you're going to have to be much more sophisticated to keep them private.
Of course the dims want to disarm people so they can force their agenda.
The question I have about dims and firearms...I know several dims who personally own firearms and yet they are comfortable voting for dims. To me that is like chickens voting for foxes, can anyone explain that?
Firearms with the many threatens tyranny from the few.
I’ve thought long & carefully about your post. Looked up backscatter scanners and yes, portable ones exist.
I live in a no red flag state. When the po-po come to my door to confiscate, this nation will already be under fascist lockdown. But who’s going to bring that about and with what forces & organization and will all the other states sit by and watch?
Red Flag laws are frightful and the potential for abuse is enormous. We can however hope that enforcement of these will create a new legal battlefield.
Trump’s bumpstock ban was not hasty; he had a year to consider it. IMO, PDJT has created a conundrum for the gungrabbers; just how and with what LEO will it be enforced? You can bumpfire an AR-15 with your fingers; are the po-po going to be out in the boonies listening for rapid fire and rush swiftly toward the source?
What I learned from frantic research during the summer of 2016 when I thought Hillary could win is that the forces for confiscation are far from seamless & omnipotent. Obama complained that the Constitution stymied his desire to make law with the stroke of his pen; now Trump has gone and done exactly that.
If RBG is replaced on the Supreme Court this year then hundreds of 2A lawsuits will have standing on SCOTUS. The situation again my opinion is that the gungrabbers are far from being in a position to act on a mass scale.
And the enforcers? Been a lot of talk about how doxxing political actors is just dirty pool. Because it works & creates a climate of fear. Does Officer Tacticool want his house displayed on the internet?
I know what that’s like because I’m trying to sell my house which is unoccupied though watched. Pix of it get sent to me all the time and I don’t even live in the same state anymore.
We’re not on the verge of Katrina style confiscation just yet. Again just my humble opinion.
My point was that the dynamic has changed considerably over the last 10 years which necessitates a recalibration of tactics on our part.
Recalibration: ten years ago we were snapping up semi-autos & ammo anticipating a major Obama gun grab which thankfully never happened.
What has changed is the sudden spread of Red Flag laws. Confiscation one citizen at a time.
But my question remains, I and millions more believe that the 2nd Amendment is about resistance to tyranny. How do we organize? How do we communicate? How do we convey to the powers that be in the Deep State and now Congress that a large body of armed citizens must not be tyrannized or insurrection might result?
An example of governmental hesitancy in the face of massed armed citizens was the Bundy incident out West. Large numbers of heavily armed LEOs were reluctant to order citizens to lay down their arms and submit to arrest; it was a standoff that lasted for a long time. No charging formations of body armored badge wearers backed by MRAPs took place.
IMO that incident has not been fully studied nor understood for its lesson that the government is not omnipotent.
“What good is your AR-15 against tanks, artillery and A-10’s?” the gungrabbers sneer. Bundy might be an answer.
Thoughts?
Another example was the Waco standoff. Another liberal was president then, and his AG ordered an armored attack on a well defended and heavily armed compound of David Koresh.
Now child abuse/sex laws were being violated in this case, not exactly a patriotic cause, but the standoff was the same, but even more tilted in favor of the government forces given the heavy armored vehicles involved.
Now the lesson here is that the lob sided advantage involving mechanized armor gave comfort to the tyrants (government) that the standoff would end in their favor, but the aftermath of pulling the trigger which ended in the heavy loss of life on a large spectacular conflagration exposed the truth of the tyranny, which that AG and administration had to endure, that made the final move an example of what not to do.
I think that lesson stands today, and influenced the decision making in the Bundy standoff. Being superior in firepower doesn’t make it right to take the standoff to the next level. But having the firearms in the first place keeps the people from just being rounded up and dragged off to jail.
Like in general politics, it largely is a battle of wills, not that bad decisions won’t be made, but you first have to stand up against the tyrant, and you have to have the tools to be taken seriously.
We are in a state of peace today given we have an administration which is more in tune to the constitution,,,, today. Enjoy it, because someday that will change, and when it does we, or someone, will have to stand up again if we are to remain free.
“...but you first have to stand up against the tyrant, and you have to have the tools to be taken seriously.”
Well said.
