I mean, I didn't know Robert Reed (the dad of the Brady Bunch) was gay, nor David Orgen Steigers (MASH) or Paul Lynde, until I read it later in life. Oh come on. You didn't at least suspect Paul Lynde?

When Bewitched was on I was only 8 or 9. Seeing the old Hollywood Square shows with him in the center...I can...

Oh come on. You didn't at least suspect Paul Lynde? Really - especially his post-Bewitched stuff, like Hollywood Squares.
I was a bit surprised to find out that Hayden Rorke was gay, though.

It's ironic that we look back to the 1970s TV shows as the "golden age of TV". I'm old enough to remember that during the 1970s, prime time television was roundly condemned as an immoral wasteland with little redeeming value.
Same with pop music at the time but now more and more people (including myself) look fondly upon the pop music of the 1970s.
It's always all about perspective.

I’m just about ready to dump Velocity too. I haven’t seen any racing on ANY channel in what seems to be forever. At least during NORMAL hours. I’m not getting up at 0300 to watch half an hour of “highlights” from a 4 year old Dakar rally!

Both of you seem to have forgotten Night Court. I really do not know of anything funnier than that show. Even with Data in it.

Of course it was ... I didn't pay enough attention to the contents of the gif ... do I feel like an idiot ...

And that was another pretty good comedy as well ...

Happy Days became preachy. It used to be that all TV shows became preachy after 3-4 years. Now it takes about 3-4 episodes at most.

MASH was the worst. I liked the early episodes with, Trapper, Col. Blake and Burns. By the late 70’s it was the same preachy anti-military, latest PC cause of the day BS.
Give me WKRP with Baily and Jennifer and the comedy, it was hilarious! Throw in some Magnum PI with Higgie Baby for some serious tv.
