McGurk chose Baghdad over a Kurdish state in Iraq. He also repeatedly refused to do anything about Tehran-backed militias & jihadis because of the "only ISIS" strategy. Seemed like a decent guy, but he pursued a hopeless and awful strategy. Good riddance.

I think I heard last night that the president has stopped following Ann Coulter on twitter.

Her bi-polar schtick is getting old.

First of all, I understand, you can agree / disagree with a decision, but one day she looooves Trump, the next day she hates him as much as Pelosi hates him.

Secondly, Coulter should know by not to stop overreacting to the first soundbite from the media & watch Trump's final results.

Well, she’s not going to get money from the left, so ticking off the right doesn’t seem like a good business plan.

Brett H. McGurk (born April 20, 1973) is an American diplomat who was appointed by President Barack Obama on 23 October 2015 as Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL.
He replaced General John R. Allen to whom he had been a deputy since 16 September 2014. He also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq and Iran, at the U.S. Department of State, and from October 2014 through January 2016 led 14 months of secret negotiations with Iran that led to a prisoner swap and release of four Americans from Evin Prison in Tehran, including the Washington Post journalist, Jason Rezaian. This assignment, among others, reinforced McGurk’s “reputation as a doer”, according to the NY Times.
He earlier served under President George W. Bush as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Iraq and Afghanistan, and under President Obama as Special Advisor to the U.S. National Security Council and Senior Advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq. Mr. McGurk served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist on the U.S. Supreme Court during the Court’s 2001 October Term. On January 19, 2017, President-Elect Donald Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer announced that the incoming administration would retain McGurk in his role leading the counter-ISIS campaign.
On December 22, 2018, McGurk announced his resignation from his post amidst President Trump’s decision to withdraw troops from Syria.

Maybe not such a bad thing.

One year I made 200 cookies. Since I was on a strict diet I ate none of them. I started the day after thanksgiving and as I made them I froze them. I think they were all sunken kisses.

BREAKING: Trump has discussed firing Federal Reserve chief Jerome Powell as his frustration has intensified after this week’s interest-rate increase and months of stock-market losses.
Advisers close to Trump aren’t convinced he will try to do it, but say he wants to.

This clown had absolutely no reason to keep raising the interest rates - other than to tank Trump's stock market gains & make him look bad.. He's wiped out Trillions in market capital.

I swear, is there anybody in DC who isn't working against Trump? Even his own picks are backstabbing him.

I know! It's unbelievable how everyone he picks (or is picked for him...) seem to have the longest sharpest knives.

It does! And as someone else (rusty?) posted, she couldn’t have heard the arguments either.

I’m not too big on nepotism, but in this case, it seems about the only people Trump can trust are his own family.

Mick Mulvaney & Stephen Miller can only do so many jobs at a time.

I don’t think RBG has been doing her job for a long time. Her clerks & staff are running the show, they probably even have a signature stamp when required.
