One part of Ford’s stalling strategy is easy to figure out. Her lawyers need to give time for damaging information to come out so they can manage it (i.e., damage control). They want to know as much as possible about what’s out there that could further destroy their client’s credibility.
In other words, her lawyers are buying time to deal with unknown facts that could call her character and truthfulness into question. So with each passing day they become more confident nothing derogatory will suddenly pop up on them.
Its a form of spin control.

There are rumors Kavanaugh is preparing to bring a defamation suit.
The social media entries describe:
wild drunken romps with boys,
binge drinking blackouts,
birthday parties attended by underage girls with male strippers
the benefits of passing out drunk to avoid guilt and shame of alleged sexual activity.
There is a passage dedicated to artful descriptions of a “Sweet 16” birthday party for one of Blasey-Ford's Holton Arms classmate,
complete with a male stripper wearing a gold G-string, dancing enticingly to the delight of the underage attendees.
A Holton Arms yearbook page showed underage students dressed provocatively as Playboy bunnies.
All of this-----sanctioned and approved by the Holton Arms upper echelon.

Her social media posts approvingly identified Blasey-Ford as a liberal activist with an obvious sensitivity to Supreme Court ideology;
she once posted on an accommodating social media site, "Scalia-types must be banned from law!"
Just ducky----an alcoholic slut in therapy, with a vagina on steroids, telling we, the people, who to have on the USSC.
The “prep school” culture is going to be on trial when this hearing occurs.

You are making assumption that the GOP wants to win this fight. IMO, that assumption is wrong.
Should Kavanaugh not be confirmed, the GOP will not see it as their defeat, but as President Trump's defeat....and nothing pleases the GOP more than thwarting President Trump!
Remember, even though they sold him the "R" brand, they neither wanted nor expected him to win.
I have checked 60 Minutes website and have seen nothing about her being on. Has this been verified? Would they not be advertising the Hell out of this if she were going to be on?
