Russia was an awesome host. This World Cup marked its place on the world stage.
I had my doubts after the Sochi Winter Olympics, and with how spread out the country is. But they did it.
I still don’t believe it’s going to happen in Qatar, I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets moved to Germany.

France did tactically what gave them the best chance to win. Sometimes that aspect gets overlooked and people just go by what they see on the field. Yes Croatia had more possession and shots, but I think France’s talent was such they could take advantage of their opportunities.
Can’t say yet France is level with some of the great Brazilian and German teams of the past, but I think they will get even better with time, and that’s what’s scary.
