Fulltime: Italy Women 1 - 2 Russia Women
Wild ending. Russian girl got kicked in the crotch earlier so they added 5 minutes extra time. Italy goal came near the end followed shortly by another Italy goal but it was taken away because of off-sides.
Next, in about 45 minutes is Germany Women v Sweden Women, which was the Olympics Final last summer. Sweden is looking for revenge.

When we were on the bus going home, I asked my wife if she saw the Movie Star walking around the museum.
Twice I saw this guy walking around and then when we were leaving he actually sat next to me on a bench while I was waiting for my family to exit the restroom.
My wife said no she didn’t. I asked: How could you not?
He was also sitting next to me on the bench when we were leaving.
There was a man, and I kid you not, dressed exactly like Indiana Jones. The hat, brown leather jacket, rough tan pants, boots, even a large belt pouch that could hold folded maps on his waist. The only thing he was missing was the whip and I suppose pistol.
Then when we got off the bus and were walking to another bus, we were standing at the red light when I over-heard two young ladies talking. One of them was telling the other about the show she saw the day before, Saturday, the same show on the same day the three of us saw - THE ONE Grand Show!
I asked my wife if she heard that, she smiled and said yes. I told her if I was single that would have been the perfect opening. She said if I were single I would not have been at the show. Touche!

Saturday had two shows. One at 3:30 and another at 7:30. But still that was something.
We went to the 3:30.

REINFORCEMENTS CALLED IN Per the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup Tournament Regulations, participant teams are permitted to make up to six roster changes within 24 hours of their final Group Stage match. U.S. MNT head coach Bruce Arena took full advantage of the rule, bringing in four players with more than 100 caps – Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley, Clint Dempsey and Tim Howard – as well as midfielder Darlington Nagbe, who has appeared in each of the seven U.S. matches this year prior to the current camp. Additionally, newly eligible U.S. goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez was also called in and is in the midst of his first MNT camp since having his one-time change of association request granted by FIFA earlier this month.
“The players we’re bringing now give us a little bit more experience, so I think it’s a good mix with the group we had here already,” Arena said about the changes.

I will miss much of Spain v Portugal today but looking forward to England v Scotland later tonight.
Today is the last day of first grade for my daughter. My wife got us free tickets for a 2 hour round trip boat ride at 4pm. From a radio station: Radio TEDDY.
My google calendar says I rode my bicycle to swim in Müggelsee (Berlin's largest lake) once each week for the past five weeks. Which, so far, is meeting my goal (once per week) going into our three week beach vacation in Binz on Rügen Island (Germany's largest island) starting August 12. :)
This will be our third summer in a row at Binz. I highly recommend vacationing there. The whole Island is a great summer place to visit with many fun and interesting places. Look into it.
