Having met brave, battle experienced leaders from WW2 through Vietnam and OIF (Maxwell Taylor, Adm. Dan Galley, Adm. John McCain CINCOMPAC VN & WW2, Adm. Arleigh Burke, Robin Olds, Col. Bud Day and Adm. Jeremiah Denton, Gen. Bruce Jacobson IWO/Army transports, my father-in-law (Iwo), Gen. Chappie James, Gen. John Singlaub WW2 Jedburgs/VN SOG, and Gen. Tommy Franks (OIF), among many others), I feel that our present military leaders (with a few honorable and fired exceptions) are political hacks, cowards, and wimps.
Mabus is the worst but the others from the AF, Marines, and even the Army are not far behind.
Hell, I met So. Vietnamese ARVN and Cambodian Generals who had more balls than our present DOD cowards.
What a sad and tragic state of affairs Obama the Commie has brought upon America with his willing fools and Marxist stooges.
Just ask our new nuclear deal buddies, the Iranians. They’ll tell you what kind of American matadors they faced out in the Persian Gulf last January. From crying sailors, to officers who willingly surrender their boats and men, to future CNO’s with no ship command and combat experience, the US Navy is a shadow of its former greatness.
Amazingly, the only crew member of the two ships the Iranians hijacked who showed any fighting spirit or valor, such as it was, was the woman on board

I once believed that the troops would never fire on us civilians. Not so sure anymore, after Waco.
I think the more immediate question is whether they will, or would, return fire in the field. We can see this question being pressed from several quarters.
The proof is in the rules of engagement given to the Navy in the Strait of Hormuz. This led to the humiliating capture of US sailors last year and yesterday’s failure to confront Iraniam gunboats. Obama wants a pussy Navy, where “integration” and political correctness are pursued at the cost of operational effectiveness and strength. And the gutless careerists at the top do nothing to oppose the madness. Trump needs to clean house at the Pentagon.
