It’s infuriating how hundreds of “representatives,” few who have held real jobs, even fewer who have signed a paycheck on the front side, present themselves as experts on the economy. You would be amazed if you knew what fraction of bills are drafted outside of Congress. For constitutional purposes, "originate" is the act of dropping paper in the hopper. This is always done by a Congressman.

Bush's war crime tribunals law was drafted by the White House.
