The IRS is part of the Dept of the Treasury. The IRS Commissioner is appointed directly by the President. The current director was appointed by Obama in 2013.

Given the take-over of the executive branch of government by Alinskyites Clinton and Obama, the USA has a big problem pretending to have checks and balances.
Look at the agenda-driven characters Barack Obama has appointed to key cabinet posts, such as Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch to head the country’s law enforcement arm and the far Left, third rate political activist Supreme Court appointees, Elana Kagan and Sonia Sotamayer.

They’ll all be required to attend together a comfy, two-hour all-in-one Saturday remedial session on U.S. tax law for individuals and foundations, on the issues of national security, and the issues surrounding sending and receiving top secret and other sensitive government information.
That should solve the nagging PR problems and let bygones be bygones, right? The session will end with a nice lunch and government photo op.
