He could not convince the guy to hit him.
Maybe so. But sooner or later we have to start pushing back against the violence being perpetrated against us. If we don’t it only whets the apatite of the tyrants to increase their violence. I am not advocating shooting these scum, yet, but we have to start defending ourselves against them since we can no longer trust the police in some cities to protect us. What is your solution?

I’m from South Carolina. Not being snarky but asking a real question: how does the law in S.C. govern the use of deadly force against a dangerous mob? CCW training here is entirely oriented toward stopping a one on one assault.
You’re out in public when a crowd of young men spots you and the cry goes up “Get the whitey!!!” and they surge toward you.
You have a CCW permit and a pistol in your pocket. What do you do?
Again, this is a possibility that needs discussion both of defensive tactics and how the law will be used for or against you if you are forced to use your weapon in your own defense.

I had one co-worker who used to "compliment" another co-worker by calling him an obsequious young man every time the second guy would compliment management (or go along to get along). The second guy finally looked up obsequious. He was not happy. It was all I could do to not laugh out loud every time the first guy did it.
