IIRC, married women mostly go ‘Pubbie, while unmarried women mostly go Democrat.
And marriage is getting less and less common.

You’re right, but now unmarried working women are facing the same employment issues as men (scarce jobs, wages that don’t keep pace with inflation, longer hours as peers are laid off/downsized). In the end they can see they’re being taxed to simply pay for other peoples’ children.
I don’t know that the decline of marriage/children among American women helps keep them voting lib; the unmarried/childless American women I’ve dealt with in the workplace really seem the resent the foreign invasion of this country. They are the ones targeted by imported rapists and those with “unenlightened” views of women...
