It’s awful we have people here at FR leading the way on slandering this good man and great conservative
This shouldn’t be the dailykos
Really good interview.
It won’t take many posts until some trump supporter criticizes Heidi and the girls.
You guys are blind. The media has chosen to help him for now. They are working for a higher cause.
Romney was defeated because he said ‘binders full of women’ and then he was falsely accused of wanting to remove birth control.
You think for one minute that the media won’t be looping 24x7 the preacher introducing Cruz on stage after finishing a rant on why in the bible says gays need to be put to death?
Or his mistresses?.....or his canadian citizenship?
There was this cute moment too;
.Ted Cruz talks about watching hardcore porn with his daughters in the audience .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML6lpDP8c20
Or his dad laying hands on him praying about him being the chosen one.....or all the times he was acting religious on stage (sorry, I’m a Christian but the heavy religious focus he temporarily had early in the campaign will also be used against him)
So do you hold his religion against him?
This and some of Glenn Beck’s material will be used in commercials and the Democrats will mock him as the “Conservative Messiah”.

A prominent aide to George W. Bushs 2000 campaign could barely contain himself when we asked him to discuss Cruz, who worked in the Bush campaigns policy shop.
This person described Cruz as hyper-arrogant and widely despised, and he emphasizedover and overthat the pervasive dislike of Cruz within the Bush ranks had nothing to do with ideology.
(Cruz, he noted, never objected to Bushs call for compassionate conservatism, immigration reform, and national education standards, and no one on the campaign regarded him as an ideologue.)
The problem was simple: Cruz’s personality.
Ted thought he was an expert on everything, says this campaign veteran, who asked not to be named. He was a smart and talented guy, but completely taken with himself and his own ideas. He would offer up opinions on everything, even matters outside his portfolio. He was a policy guy, but he would push his ideas on campaign strategy. He would send memos on everything to everyone. He would come to meetings where he wasnt invitedand wasnt wanted.
In fact, this Bush alum recalls, the quickest way for a meeting to end would be for Ted to come in. People would want out of that meeting. People wouldnt go to a meeting if they knew he would be there. It was his inability to be part of the team. Thats exactly what he was: a big a$$hole.
I dont know anyone who had a decent relationship with Cruz. And when Bush became president, his top campaign aides agreed Cruz should not be offered a job in the White House.
No one wanted to work with him, this source remembers. George W. Bush couldnt stand the guy.
This person adds, Its a real quandary for Bush campaign people: Trump versus Cruz, who to vote for? And it would be a big quandary even if its Cruz versus Hillary Clinton. Thats how much they cannot stand him.

No, I see him USING his religion as a tool. Why is he not waving the bible around all the time now?? Maybe because the southern states already voted?
There’s no more truth to that “Cruz’s mistresses” bullshit than there is that Trump’s connection with and effusive praise for Jeffrey Epstein make him a pedophile.
You have quite the anti-Christian streak there... wouldn’t DU be a more comfortable home for you?
Trump has plenty of gaffe video that the media will play too, but the difference is that Trump can handle the media and also beat down the media into submission. He has done it many times and he even shut up bill and hillary. Cruz is not capable of this.
Whatever....I don’t know how you surmised that I’m anti Christian from my comments. You must be a total moron.
Agree 100% with you. Trump knows how to handle the incoming fire. Cruz would meltdown in a hurry. Look at how he lashed out at Drudge.
Cruz did another me too
The Media has favored Trump from the very beginning.
That is deliberate and that is where the Trump supporters are being foolish.
The RNC has a DNC front runner now because of the Media.
In almost every debate, Trump got much more speaking time—usually twice as much as many of the other candidates.
Yet your daily diatribes against Trump are ok. You are one of the biggest purveyors of attacks and filth against Trump, just like your candidate. Got it. Nobody is slandering Cruz. He’s earned whatever criticism he gets here. If you want to keep your head in the sand and ignore the fact he’s not what he portrayed himself to be them good for you.
CNN gave a similar forum to Trump a day or two ago. I thought it was totally out of character for the press, to humanize a candidate. But they did for Trump, and now for Cruz, and I suppose the same will hold for Kasich.
A couple points then, from that. One being that Cruz isn't being singled out for "humanizing" treatment by CNN, and the other being that I have to credit CNN for this series of programs.
