And supporting a guy because of what he’s said since campaigning for president, and ignoring what he’s said and done the previous 50 years.
Hannity is always nice to everybody and tries to be fair to all. I don’t listen to his show much because he’s very predictable, but he’s not biased.
Hannity boy just screwed up. Media means nothing now. It’s TRUMP!! Get with it or sit down and shut up.
Unfortunately for you its still a free country.
So is Alan Keyes. So what? Neither can win a national election, so what’s the point?
Ok, well, real good luck in the storm.
Barbara Boxer? Wow, I think that is the only thing she got right. I really admire Senator Cotton.
> “ Ted Cruz Is “A Reagan-Conservative Constitutionalist...How Could I Not Admire That?””
If you of the generation of the 20th Century’s greatest American President, then you and I find great pleasure in the nostalgia when America became great again and was respected around the world. Ronald Reagan restored our pride, prestige and dignity. We could wake each morning and carry on the business of our lives without worrying what the Executive in the Oval Office would do that day. We felt comfortable, assured, stable and inspired.
As for Sean questioning about Ted being a likeness of Ronald Reagan, that is all true but its out of synch. I will explain.
There are substantial and significant numbers of conservatives for Trump, but he appeals to other demographics and a larger basis of appeal which Ted is not attracting.
What Sean misses, where he has a big blindspot, is that the last popular conservative we had in the White House was Ronald Reagan. Since Reagan left office, the conservative brand has been soiled so much that the electorate is not rushing to admit they are associated with it.
Paul Ryan calls himself conservative, John Boehner called himself conservative, Mitch McConnell calls himself conservative. Conservatism among these types of conservatives is a joke, a fraud.
What Sean misses is that the electorate were young kids and teenagers when Reagan left office. They never saw how wonderful Reagan was and how he made Americans proud to be American again. They have only seen the frauds that have soiled the conservative brand.
Theres a new electorate out there.
Sean doesnt acknowledge it.
When RR ran in 1980, he wasnt elected because he was a conservative. He was elected because he was viewed as a hardliner against the Soviets and terrorists, and because the electorate was embarrassingly ashamed of Carter and his awful performance.
It wasn’t until well into 1983 that the electorate fell in love with RR and realized what a classy eloquent president he was and how the rest of the world realized that America was coming back under a class-act president. And then everyone wanted to be like Ronald, they wanted to be conservative, to talk conservatism, to call themselves conservative. But this all stemmed from love/proudness of Reagan first. LOVE FIRST and this kind of love isn’t built overnight. When Ronald was elected in 1980, he did not have the love first. He had to develop it.
Sean makes the mistake of thinking that merely calling oneself conservative, saying all the right conservative words, thinking all the right conservative thoughts, pushing all the right conservative buttons should endear and exalt the candidate.
I look at Marco Rubio who is programmed with a lot of conservatiove script and I see right through him. I see a BIG FRAUD. And I loved Ronald Reagan. I had the honor of shaking his hand in 1990. He was real through and through, a true conservative.
But conservatism is no longer magic because it connotes deceit as in Romney, as in McCain.
Now Ted Cruz is a class-act (save for the scumbags hes hired to do his campaign) to conservatives like me because hes running like Reagan and hes brilliant and well-spoken. But his mistake is hes running with the Reagan playbook of 1984 when Reagan was loved.
Let me repeat that last because it’s the crux of why Ted Cruz is losing.
Ted is running on the Reagan playbook of 1984 when RR had already built the trust and achieved the respect of the electorate.
Ted thinks that sounding like RR, staking out positions that are very Reaganesque, that people will respect him. To old hands like me, I can be convinced because I see he knows his stuff, he knows the deeper issues. But the electorate doesn’t see it. They’re not stupid. They’re younger but not unaware and not stupid. They are simply more in tune with Donald Trump. They are not cultists, they are not uneducated, they are not low information. They have seen people calling themselves Reagan conservatives and they don’t like the taste of those people. The brand has been spoiled.
Ted needs to understand he should be running with the playbook of 1980 when Reagan was viewed as dangerous and not smart (it was found later by MSM reporters that RR was indeed much smarter than they ever figured). RR campaigned in 1980 against the horrible economy, the weakness of the military, the great loss of prestige around the world.
Bu Teds out there trying to revive the Reagan coalition when in fact its not really much there anymore. Whats there is a new electorate that sees that Americans are not being put first, who see the economy collapsing, jobs leaving, political correctness run amok. Donald Trump is addressing all these things in a much more powerful fashion than Ted Cruz. This is why Donald leads Ted by 15% to 20%. Its not because the base is not with Trump. Its because Trump is in tune with the electorate.
Thanks. I guess.
The things Lee Atwater did for Reagan would make everyone on Cruz’s campaign team blush. Cruz is no liar. It looks like they have definitely pushed the envelope on the campaign, but there is hardball all around on all sides. The accusations coming from Rubio are bs about immigration. The Carson thing is way over magnified. The report was on CNN and they passed the article on with the same speculation as the tv heads.
Let’s see:
#5 - Ben Carson — voted for Obama
#4 - Kasich — case closed.
#3 - Roobio — opportunist broke politician thinks this is his big shot
#2 - Cruz - conservative and a believer in constitutional government
#1 - Trump - populist charlatan spent lifetime buying politicians like Roobio and Kasich
See? It wasn’t so hard to see that Cruz is the only conservative in the race.
Take cover and wear a coat. You will be fine.
There is one pundit whose views I value, and that person is Mark Levin. He hasn’t officially endorsed any of the remaining ‘Pub candidates, but it’s apparent he doesn’t favor Trump or Rubio, and he does like Cruz. Have been a Cruz supporter from the start; knowing Denali likely is in his corner validates that choice.
ok.
Is this before or after his Cruz’s Rubio fling?
“However if Trump is the nominee I’ll force my arm to pull the lever.”
This is like saying I will be forced to drink feces-laced urine because eating urine-laced feces is just too much.
No, thanks.
“Ted Cruz is all that”
And more, a congenital liar, and sleazy to the core..
Cruz was the kid on the play ground who couldn’t stand losing. And now it is showing.
Cruz is the globalist, Trump is the resurrection of Pat Buchanon
I defy anyone here, particularly the Koolaid Brigade, to specifically prove it otherwise, and prove me a liar. Facts, please. Go ahead.
