So you think Trump is 1,2,or 3?
You can’t support this nut, surely?
We have three possibilities here:
1. Trump is telling the truth. W is the greatest master mind and conspiracy orchestrator in the history of man
2. Trump is a liar
3. Trump is a psychopath
Or 4. While W Bush wasn’t directly responsible for 9/11, he also wasn’t much of a Constitutional conservative and his decisions got a lot of good Americans killed. And in the heat of battle Trump exaggerated.
His comments about 9/11 lost me completely. His true colors came out Saturday night and he came across as a complete loon. No mention of the fact that we knew who Bin Laden was long before Bush was elected; no mention of the fact that Bin Laden was offered to Clinton on a plate at least three times that I’m aware of; no apparent knowledge of Bojinka (look it up); no knowledge of Iraq’s long (30-year) direct sponsorship of, and association with, numerous terrorist groups, including: the DFLP, PFLP, PFLP-GC, PFLP-EO, the Abu Nidal Organization, the 15 May Organization, Al Qaeda and many, many others.
I was detailed to the Bush White House as a CT Advisor for 15 months. There are plenty of policy issues on which I disagreed with the administration, democratization being one of them, but “destabilizing” Iraq and having no justification for invading Iraq (which was closely associated with Al Qaeda, whether the media or Donald Trump acknowledges it or not) are not among them.
Does anyone honestly believe that the people of Iraq - those who were not Ba’athists - would prefer to live under the regime of Saddam, Uday and Qusay Hussein - a regime that used glass shredders to kill men and women while their children watched, along with various other forms of torture? Would they actually prefer to have their daughters taken from elementary schools, raped and beaten by Uday and never seen again? Would anyone call that “stable†if he were living in Saddam’s Iraq? Thank God all three of those butchers are now providing feed for worms!
The above, however, do not provide justification for the US to intervene, invade or “meddle”. However, when Saddam’s regime is directly involved in supporting terrorism against the West - including the US - and has been doing so for over 30 years, that does constitute justification for intervention.
It’s a cult of personality, and they are true believers.
It’s like with the current pope. He says something that is incorrect and indefensible. Someone posts the story and it’s full of Freepers saying “What he really meant was...”
They are going by what the wanted him to have said, not what was said.
Big on emotion and slogans, short on specifics.
Not in this one respect. The most important one. Number one job of the president is to protect the country from mostly foreign threats.
He's the only candidate highlighting the Islamic threat and looks for more accommodation with with Putin and the new democratic Russia.
The cold war was over 25 years ago, and Trump realizes this, all the others are agitating for confrontation with Russia when our existential problem is with the caliphate.

Thank you for your many years of service to the country. Your opinion is respected.
However, after watching the actions of the RNC, the past presidential candidates, and the co-opting or marginalizing of any conservative elected to The House and Senate I want a leader not beholden to the National Chamber of Commererce, the Club for Growth or the GOPe. Trump is the only one than meets that criteria.
Is he as conservative as I would like. No. But he will stand by the second amendment. He will secure the border, He will get a handle on illegal immigration, and he will do what he and a majority of the thinking people believe is right for the country. He knows business and has the best chance of getting the economy going for the people in the country.
I will fight the social issues if I believe I and my children have a President who will protect our security and freedoms from enemies foreign and domestic.
Whomever gets the GOP nomination I will vote for. There are three I support: Trump, Cruz and Carson. After that in descending order: Rubio, Bush, Kasich and the rest.
But I do know that he left the border open with Mexico and allowed countless Mexicans to come in illegally and SOME of those illegals killed more Americans during his term than were killed in 9/11.
You need to add to the death roll everybody killed in Iraq as well. We should never have gone, WMDs or not.

He lost me when he mocked that reporter with Arthrogryposis. My nephew has that. I know what he’s gone through in his short life. And there’s nothing funny about mocking things like that. Trump is a disgrace.
I’m not sure if anyone has noticed this yet or not, but in addition to Trump’s effective lambasting of the media, he is also doing significant damage to the GOP.
Now... I do not wish to defend the elitist establishment, but Trump’s efforts are and appear to be targeted towards the RNC just as much as they are towards the media and his opponents. He has even hinted or warned that he may still run as an independent because of the RNC’s treatment of him.
If he does this, he will effectively destroy any chance of a republican win regardless of who is nominated.
I was hopeful that Trump understood this, and intended to destroy the “establishment” from within and put the people back in charge of the GOP... but defeating it as a third party candidate ensures it’s demise.
I cannot help but think this was the plan all along, and every time I hear people like Reid and Pelosi endorse him, I fear more and more like this whole election cycle is being engineered to completely fail for Obama’s benefit.
Trump is right about one thing. If Cruz or Rubio gets the GOP nod, the democrats will successfully disqualify them in the 11th hour. This could potentially lead to a national cry for postponing the election or forcing a vote in the house of representatives.
I really don’t know what Trump’s agenda is, but I’m having a REALLY hard time trusting him... and I cannot vote for Cruz or Rubio because I know they are not constitutionally eligible.
We are screwed.
We elected Republicans to: balance the budget, fix the VA, and secure our borders. They have done NOTHING. How many more Republicans do we need to elect so they can sit on their hands and 'work with democrats'? Here's the 'change' we want - we want them to keep their word to us and stop lying.
By that reasoning, the only ones qualified to be president are those who have already been president. Obama is seasoned, Hillary is seasoned (by marriage), Bush is seasoned (by family).
But Trump, as CEO of a huge company, is not.
Over time, his true character has been revealed. He’s a man with no core other than himself. We’d be fools to trust him. We’d be duplicating what so much of the nation believed about Obama - he’s whatever I want him to be.
The opposite is true. THE BUSHES were never to be trusted. Trump knows what kind of monsters they have been for generations. We were fooled.
We've elected over 900 Republicans since Obama took office and they havn't done a thing they promised... I trust Trump when he says he'll build a wall and STOP illegals from flooding across the border. You're right - real patriots support Trump.
9/11 commission is as informative as the Warren commission. The lowly voters are seldom fully informed by those who think they own us.

“Our nation” is arresting oath keepers who were at the Bundy ranch while Hillary is free to run for president.
What do you think Trump can do that makes this country any less sane than it is now??
I am not even sure that somehow Hillary will manage to win.
